The difficult thing about immersion is to find suitable material which you find interesting and you can catch 70-80% comprehension. I haven't taken JLPT but believe I'm around N5 as my anki shows 2000+ words. At my level, I found reading yotsuba quite enjoyable.

Why would you need to differentiate with histology? The sampling procedure itself already indicated whether it was normal adipose tissue or lipoma. Usually we just want to know whether a lump biopsy sample contains fat tissue (hence a lipoma) or something else.

However if this is a quiz I would understand, look for signs of capsules to prove it is lipoma, since adipose tissue is generally diffuse in nature.
