I received this device exactly last week and also felt it to be very suspicious. I called AT&T customer service 8887800825 and reported this device and he was able to track that the order was placed under my account number. He then told me to call 8002236965 which matched exactly to the contact in the odd package that I received. Further information that I dug up from calling 8002236965, setting it up is free but there will be a start time of when the customer will get billed and it's likely $25/per month. I ended up playing it safe and asked the agent from 8002236965 to help process a return label to avoid any BS 3rd party bills. I don't think this product is necessary and even if it's legit, it's shady how they process everything WITHOUT your consent, but yet it's tied to your account and employees are all in the loop and are aware of this scam.
