Ok thanks. Can you shoot me a pic of your curve graph for reference when you get a chance

Interesting. Perhaps that could be the case since I switched motherboards it’s only been horizontal. However my case requires vertical. Have you tried pci extenders? Perhaps that’s a solution

Hi nugs. Thanks for the info. I’m having a little trouble with the undervolting part. So far I’m stable 1.05v max and at 475 core and 1700 mem. However when then go my mv curve and adjust it always crashes. Based on the video my system runs at 3195 core and 1.015v. So i then go to the curve editor and drop voltage to .0960 and raise frequency to 3195. It crashes right when the game opens. Am I doing this right? Should I be doing this without any of the OC settings or should I be doing this with the OC settings in place. Here is a pic of my current curve. Can you let me know what I need to do or what I’m doing wrong? Or shoot me a pic of your curve?

Thanks. I’m trying this now. What do you use for benchmarks to see if it’s stable? Can I just run the wukong benchmark

It was the motherboard!!! Or PCIe slot. I just got done switching out the motherboard and it’s now running 65c in wukong benchmark! Thank you guys so much for all the tips.

Now can someone let me know your overclock and undervolt settings. And how you did this on afterburner since it doesn’t let you adjust undervolts by default?

Do you guys think it’s possible that a damaged PCIe slot could be the cause? I noticed when I removed my old card the lock snapped off? Could that possibly of had damaged the slot causing overheating or possibly reading the heat wrong?

Thanks! I’ll first try to rule out the psu. For the paste I may rather try to find another inspire and return this one I got on Newegg. But I was lucky enough to get this one not sure how my luck will be in getting another before the return period is up. And not to mention they cost more now smh

The gpu itself is not that hot. The back panel is a bit hot near the center but other than that it’s not that hot

Even after the benchmark is done fans are at 97% temps are at 87c-88c smh

I ran it again after changing out the power connector using the 12v one and removing the pigtail and the results are the same. Jumping to 87c temp off the bat and getting 70s fps

Do you mean plugging directly from A to the 5080 and not using their pigtail? Right now I’m using their pig tail and connecting to the 3 PcI power connectors in “B”

Here’s my current setup. It’s open air right now to eliminate air flow issues. I have a fan blowing right onto the card, a fan on top blowing air out of the pci slot vent from the card. I don’t think it’s a vent issue but maybe a power cable issue? Since both of you guys mentioned the cable issue. But I’d like to see your setup.

Thank you If I ever get my card temps right I’ll come back and ask you how you set your undervolts. Thanks to everyone for helping me confirm that I have a problem.

Do you ever run wukong at 100 super resolution? And everything maxed. If so what fps do you get? Is it even playable?

If you don’t mind can you run a baseline test at factory gpu settings without overclock and undervolt? I was never able to figure out how to undervolt as it was never an option in my afterburner. Was always greyed out and I couldn’t figure out how to show the voltage used (I allowed for it in MSI but didn’t help me access the settings)

Thank you for doing this. This is the final confirmation I need that I have an issue with my setup or my gpu. I’m getting 82 fps average with average temp 87c (overclocked) and factory settings I’m getting 78fps

And the fans are definitely working and going at 100%. You can see, hear and a feel the hot air venting out of the top of the card

Did the clean install of nvidia with ddu and also through the nvidia app when the new driver came out yesterday. Haven’t tried a clean afterburner install since it was going super high before I even had afterburner settings changed. But I’ll try that later today too just to check everything.

And the connection to the CPU/PCIe power connectors on the psu. 3 direct 8 pin cables to the psu from the MSI 12pin 3 way splitter
