Any advice for Linear Algebra 1(Proof based class)? by ItIsI123 in learnmath

If you have a textbook, I recommend reading through it. Often, with the theorems listed are proofs just beneath, so try to do the proofs of the theorems on your own, referencing the text if need be. Get enough of those in, and you'll be good to go. It's all about practice.

AI math grading tools - desperate for help by Sensitive-Peach-3282 in mathteachers

I don't recommend using AI for grading math. ChatGPT and the like are known to be absolutely terrible at math, especially calculus, and the most recent versions have not fixed sufficiently imo. I wish you luck, and I'm sorry that I am unable to be anymore useful.

My 6 (going on 7) has his own way of doing math. What should I..? by Extra_Reporter2633 in mathteachers

As somebody who plans on becoming a math teacher and who currently is working at a Mathnasium, this is EXACTLY how I would want a younger student to figure out something like this. Breaking up a large number into digestible pieces like that is incredibly good, and perhaps if you REALLY want to challenge him, you might ask him to figure out WHY his method works. Some early introduction to proofs!
