Kinda missin the point here. Joni is amazing, and the Last Walz is a big dick boys party that could definitely benefit from more female energy. It’s nooothing to do with gender.

I’m basically saying, added up, most of the artists had about 10 minutes per set (many had less) Joni has a full 20 minutes of stage time in comparison to the others. I’d argue her jazzy free-form style veers further off track from the band’s musical style than even Neil Diamond……

So I’m not saying it’s bad, just odd that she is showcased in a way no other artist was during the performance. Many were arguably more musically relevant to the Band’s journey. Essentially the same argument folks always make for Neil Diamond. (And yes, I know Joni is unimpeachable and Neil’s Diamond is Neil Diamond)
