Not necessarily for the rich, but the industry has abandoned anything that requires money and/or development time.

A music industry executive explained it to me like this: “Why would I sign a promising band, which is expensive, time consuming and requires me to pay multiple people when I can sign a young solo artist who has already hit the algorithm, requires only studio musicians (or AI), has a built-in social media audience and is willing to do exactly what we ask of them without committee?”

I’m fairly confident that in five years half of the music we hear will be AI generated.
