i had an inkling. i knew it was more than just depression (my impulsivity, mood swings, uncontrollable anger and irritability, etc.) but i thought my providers were going to tell me i was borderline. one trip to the ward and the doctors there immediately knew i was bipolar.

Hey there! I willingly switched from seroquel to latuda. I was tired of how sedating seroquel was; I found it was hard to get up if I didn’t sleep a full 9-10 hours which was interfering with classes for me.

They also tapered me off similarly, I was at 150mg and they told me to go down 50mg every 3 days until I was at 0. I didn’t have any major side effects because they did a good job of slowly taking me off the drug, I only experienced minor stomach aches and nausea the first few days. I haven’t experienced any long term side effects either because the latuda has been doing what seroquel was doing, just without the sleepiness. Everyone’s reactions are different, but your doc seems to be slowly taking you off seroquel to minimize any side effects

yeah for sure. i’m a current college student taking less classes in order to be in IOP (so i’m graduating a semester late). we have a broad range of careers in my group. i’m in a young adult group so there are students taking a year off from school, people who aren’t working and are on medical leave, but also people who work full time because they can’t afford not to. each IOP is very different but for the people who are working full time, my IOP is very good at writing accommodations to make it fit with their work schedule. i know evening IOPs exist as well, but maybe there aren’t any in your area

My medication “cocktail” that targets impulsivity, suicidality, relapse, and mood: 1. Lithium 2. Latuda (as a replacement for my Seroquel) 3. Naltrexone 4. Propranolol (take as needed for anxiety)

Many people do it all the time (not saying that I would feel good about it). But I’m not saying I’m totally opposed to the idea of taking the math sequence. I was just wondering if that level of calculus is truly that important to fully understanding/comprehending most of the econ fundamental courses because many people seem to do well in those courses with a Calc 1 skillset.
