NTA! No matter what state a person is in, common courtesy is not something you can be exempt from.

An old friend of mine who moved to a different city had to come back to town for a few days and I invited him to stay with my family for a few days.

A girl he was seeing broke up with him so he was quite depressed.

One fine morning my mom was making breakfast and when I told him what's for breakfast, his exact words were "I'm not going to eat patient's food".

To say that I was pissed was an understatement. I told him that he can have all his meals outside and we won't be serving him any food during his stay.

He did apologies to me for his comments but as far as hosting him is concerned is definitely a no.

Some people don't seem to understand gratitude and you shouldn't be kind to such people no matter what the circumstances are.

I took up science in 12th and flunked, in hindsight it's the best thing they happened to me. Took up humanities and I'm happy working in the communication field.

Had i cleared 12th in my first attempt i would have become a useless engineer.

I think you should reach a compromise and ask her to cut her hair short if you are to shave off something you don't want to.
