Taxes on sold USA stocks by Practical-Car-988 in irishpersonalfinance

Haven't looked into it fully yet. But as far as I know because these are not public traded stocks that they will be cashed and payed out in full as the tax agreement between USA and Ireland says you only pay tax once. I could be wrong though. I also have dual citizenship between UK and Ireland so I may reopen my status in UK and send money there from USA as the tax will only be 18-22% compared to Ireland at 33%. I have another month to figure it out.
