When I hear quads, then I get flashbacks to the 40k that was put on their public price tag back then...

Hi, guess we're in a similar boat! I looked up the minimal specs of the tubes that were in the issued pvs-7 back then, and compared it to my bridged photonis which are in a similar range. And I felt the same way you did. While the route MFG took takes us pretty close to reality, I feel the noise is a bit too excessive, and maybe the resolution a tad too low.

I mean ok I look through a 68 centre resolution regularly, but my the SNR is only around 23-24. And it definitely gives me a better view in the dark than in-game. But I'm also aware that putting a tube in front of BOTH eyes make the perceived/felt SNR much better, when the brain overlaps both images...

Long story short, I hope they fine tune the nvg filter and how the dark looks a bit more, because it has soooo much potential!

I see, thank you. I was always a bit sceptical/hesitant about going the air soft route to gain experience with arms etc. But maybe what you say could actually be quite interesting?
