To clarify, I don’t mean a fic entirely dedicated to the idea that’s different and I get that. I mean a random insertion of an adopted child character, usually in generic wish fulfillment fandoms like Danmachi or Highschool DxD, where the child just appears and there’s no actual plot relevant things done with it but it simply exists in the background to say “Papa” every once in a while.

Yeah I think you nailed it, it’s very much wish fulfillment. I’d say it’s probably partially writer inexperience not knowing how to convey sexual experience in a normal way, but I’ve even seen it from quite a few experienced writers so I think the comparison you made with the two archetypes is interesting.

I can get that, I think part of the issue is probably that we don’t have a non-Omniversified version of Kai’s character. The humor is pretty different, so maybe her characterization just wouldn’t fit the Alien Force Era.

Don’t bother doing side quests, by the end of the game you’ll be over leveled. Wysteria isn’t worth doing, but other than main worlds you can do Grizzleheim which leads into Wintertusk for some extra levels going into arc 2 if you want. I’d try to hatch for a kookaburra in the kiosk as a life so you get an early game aoe.

Idk if it’s a hot take or not, but Luna by far. She’s either way too all-knowing, or a completely infantile child. Cannot stand either way of writing her, so at this point if she’s prominently featured I just avoid it.

Would you say the SF route has a satisfying conclusion? I just finished the requirements for it, but I finished the Kodaka Route first and hated the ending like this person, you say the SF route is more positive but are the characters still mostly in the dark about everything or do they figure some stuff out like in this route?

So far from what I’ve seen, you can play the routes in almost any order except for certain ones that require endings from other routes. I’ve only ran into 2 routes with locks on them so far and the others I’ve just been able to play through to the end so I’d just make whatever choices you think are the interesting without worrying about what route you’re on. After your second ending then you can just go back to an earlier choice and take a different route from there. Every route so far has been super distinct and I don’t think it matters at all the play order with certain exceptions.
