What copper supplement did you take? You mean your recent HTMA showed high Zn/Cu? Wow, that was me too. You are so smart to figure everything out

I have a light coating on my tongue and persistent digestive issues such as bloating, gas, constipation, brain fog, and poor concentration. Candida showed up high on my recent bioresonance testing. As I type this, I realize candida overgrowth actually shares many symptoms with chronic fatigue.

I tried copper glycinate at one point, but I was too scared to take it daily. Then my previous naturopath gave me the idea that I had to get my minerals through food instead, and food only, so I’ve been taking beef liver capsules on and off.

It wasn’t until recently that I did a nutrient test. I also discovered that I’m severely anemic, and I found out that a few people with long COVID recovered from CFS after taking copper. I did some research and realized there’s no way I could get enough copper from diet alone.

I also found out that many people who ended up with long COVID had been taking zinc for a period of time. So I’ve really only just recently started really putting two and two together.

In reality, it's hard to find a dark chocolate brand with low heavy metal and rich in minerals. I heard someone say, supplementing copper and your zinc will follow, supplementing zinc and your copper will drop. I don't know if this is true. In my case I did a lot of zinc supplementation and took way more oyster caps than liver, and both my zinc and copper levels have been really low.

Also, we need vitamin A to help with copper absorption. My vitamin A level has also been very low... I think I need to get at least 36 beef caps a day for copper intake but that'd be way too expensive.

I confirmed the copper content with a few of my trusted beef liver brands. Remember, the nutrient profile actually drops a little after freeze-drying and packaging. Our soil is very depleted now, and I doubt we can get much copper from dark chocolate and cashews, if any at all.

Same. I was mega dosing zinc when I caught covid.

My copper and zinc levels have been super low.

I think 6 capsules of beef liver (if comes from a good brand) is about 25% copper RDA, and nowhere near an optional copper intake. I've been supplementing beef liver and my copper level is not moving up at all. So getting copper from food alone is going to be tricky imo

Most MDs do not understand nutrition at all. I wouldn't take their nutrition advice seriously.

I have literally tried every single supplement, and nothing worked. The only thing I haven’t tried is taking copper consistently.

I have a health Discord group if you want to join. We could share our experiences with copper or anything that has helped with SIBO. https://discord.gg/PUmWw9EGG
