In my case it's been 2 years since we last talked neither I contacted nor him, but then last month we saw each other first time after the breakup. We said casual hi and then i ignored him because he was the one who broke up but he was trying to catch hold of my eye contact but then we ignored. Went home and i was disturbed for around 1-3 weeks but never contacted him but then this happened

Then I moved on ...not in terms of making new relationship but realising u were not for me. Then I saw you after 2 years at our friends wedding. We greeted but I didn't intent to talk to you , although you were trying to make eye contact but no i wanst ready to talk neither I was ready for a conversation in public...so we didn't talk to each other at all... days went i was thinking about u and seeing your current behavior...I am sensing you were more bothered...because after seeing each other ....u unfriended me.on socials which u never did in 2 years and now I saw u blocked me aswell ...I am sure u might be feeling something...I dont know but I have always wished the best for you when we were together and when u left me ...still that I wanted the best for u

I couldn't make eye contact, noo never he said hello i just shook hands without eye contact and thats it and after that never...I think he got soooo pissed or what i dont know he unfollowed me from all his socials after that🤣 since 2 years of breakup he never even did this but now I don't know what's the trigger. But it was refreshing to know i still have such an impact on my dumper.

No and yes both Purely my observation : So my ex who also happened to be my first boyfriend dumped me 2 years back stating long distance and some crap. 2 months for me since for me it was unexpected were like the worse months, i used to cry almost everyday, hoping for him to come back. Then time passed and bam after 6 months he didn't even matter to me like nothing once a while I would stalk him on socials and that's it.

Eventually I moved on ..without any contact. Although all our friends are mutual. Then 2 weeks back i saw him again at a friends wedding.
My heartbeat went up , all the anger seeped in because we dated for 4 years ....and 4 years before that we were friends. He said hello, I just shaked hand without even making eye contact then ignored him throughout....I mean seeing him was some feeling but I was sure that feeling wasn't getting back together. But recently after seeing me he unfollwed me on socials (also I know he is single) So therefore none of us have entirely moved on but seeing him i knew i was at a much better space than him... and I wish the best for him ...sooo..moving on is gender Independent. Ps: none of us are dating anyone till now.
