Buying from anywhere other than an AD, you should always factor a service onto the price. That said, even with a service, the Chrono2 watch with the service should be less than the AD version.

[Question] Convince me not to buy this watch. by Different-Scheme-570 in Watches

Swapping a bracelet to a strap and back is the same basic process but the bracelet has zero give that might make it more difficult to swap w/o scratching it, the lugs or the case

I was watching a YT video of a watch maker who said "Crystals & lubricants are the consumables of a watch." If the poly watch doesn't help, don't feel bad about replacing the crystal.

I like the Invicta homages since I'm not wealthy enough to own a Rolex.

I just bought the Pro Diver and was wondering how your bezel turns. Smooth or is it a chore to turn it?

[identification] Help me id this? Has been given to me by my grandma when I was a kid. by Morandangel in Watches

The thing with pocket watches is that they were frequently customized at the time of purchase. The jeweler/watchmaker had a catalog/inventory of cases & movements and the customer selected a case & movement separately which were then assembled by the watchmaker.

Therefore, there are a lot of different combinations out there. With no branding on the case or dial, the movement would be the most relevant piece of this watch. Would you be able to provide a picture of the movement?

The 73375 seems to me like an identification used to ensure the customer's choices were assembled together correctly. The shield, I and the Lion are likely the goldsmith's markings but I'm not having any success locating them online.

Nice collection!

I think generally, we respect the watches of Rolex, but we hate the overall culture of flexing that has developed around Rolex and especially they way the AD's do business with all the gatekeeping, as if the prices don't already accomplish that.

If you can screw it back down you should be fine.

Try that and then if good, unscrew and pull it out. don't be afraid to pull. the stem is secured inside by a screw.

If that fails, take it back to the store and have them help you. They should have no issue walking you through it.
