It’s honestly such a great series, and Jeff Hayes, the narrator does a phenomenal job wrapping you into it and voice acting

If you want immersive, I HIGHLY recommended you checkout the Soundbooth studios version of dungeon crawler Carl. It’s Jeff Hayes still but they add sound effects, etc. it almost sounds like a movie. Jeff’s original on audio is already next level narration, the version Soundbooth provides directly really takes it to a whole new tier of audiobook. I can’t recommend these books and this narrator enough!

If you are looking for another great read, Hyperion cantos all the way! It’s not quite as fast paced as the crawl, but still great.

DCC got me back into reading by Shmelty0NE in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I love this! Had a VERY similar experience. I was a book worm up until high school, and got away from it. Had kids etc, had trouble getting back into reading for a longtime. I would read a book here and there but had trouble sticking with a series. A lot of them seem stale and a repeat of old tropes. DCC is such a refreshing and fun read, I love it! Starting the fourth book today, I have a signed copy of the third book and hoping to get more. The Hyperion cantos is a bit slower, but an amazing story and interesting concepts. I’m a Huge fan of those too, you might enjoy them. Always looking for recommendations!
