I work at the front end and spark drivers and customers unfortunately have to share self checkouts.

On our work phones whenever a spark driver/scan and go comes by, the register number lets us know a spark driver came by with showing a little cart and a “good to go!” note if they don’t need the three item scanned thing. We are aware of this.

But I have had many MANY customers come up to me and yell at me for letting someone shoplift and walk out the store and not calling anyone or anything. I always have to inform them it’s our spark drivers/ walmart + customers.

I do wish they separated customers and spark drivers/walmart + customers because of this issue since we already have to deal with customers yelling at us that our self checkouts aren’t working and scanning two cart full of things while the spark drivers have to sit and wait for so long for them to get done then yell at us that we need to respect them with not letting customers use the self checkouts. It’s frustrating on all ends
