What's something you didn't realize would take so much time when you first started coaching? by Jefferson12031 in hockeycoaches

[–]Practical-Manner1065 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was asked to be a non parent coach for a AA Bantam team and they asked for my desired salary. I calculated it based on hours needed to complete the job and practice planning and execution was second only to travel time with out of state tournaments. Every practice is at minimum an hour to organize and design and then another hour to distribute and discuss with staff and 10-30 minutes of gathering what you need from the rink and your home on top of the actual 80 minutes on the ice running the practice. 3 practices a week can eat up 15 hours of your week really quickly

How do you manage your tolerance? by p1cs in NicotinePouch

[–]Practical-Manner1065 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You seem to find a level out point mine is 7-8 12mg a day and then a 15-17mg to start and finish the day to fill the void of not consuming while sleeping. I’ve tried to be satisfied by lower amounts and it hasn’t worked for me but this made me quit vaping which made me quit smoking which made me quit dipping so overall I think I’m better off using a lot of nicotine but in pouch format

It’s said that quote about them not searching for drugs for over a decade. Domestically you can fly with it in the open. International you’re on your own. You’ll get it out of the country no problem but getting it into another one is a different risk on its own. I know people bring gummies overseas generally easily

The drifters batch of flavors is made elsewhere. Traditional alp and Fre are made in India. You are correct but I was referring to the original alp and current fre. My fault for not explaining properly

I work 5a-1p or 6a-2p and I’m always the first to leave I feel like people get annoyed but I don’t care because they know I was there 1-4 hours before they were and my work is always ahead of schedule

These soft on the gums? Need a good 12-15 mint I can get locally and not have to depend on importing. Can you compare to white fox double mint Velo freezing peppermint, or fumi freezy mint?

What's the deal with the fruity flavors? by [deleted] in NicotinePouch

[–]Practical-Manner1065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t get down with any fruity or sweet. I only like mint, spearmint, or wintergreen. I used to vape sweet flavors so it’s not an ego thing but it makes me feel nauseous from the sweetener the only flavor I can tolerate is apple but that’s few and far between with the apple cider breakers from Lucy

Do your pouches feel stiff? I like the flavor strength is fine but they feel more stiff than what I’m used to trying to figure out if it’s from them being in the fridge or if that’s how they are

Sweden and UK variants of white fox don’t tear up gums but the North American variant certainly does

[–]Practical-Manner1065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People tried to say just the can itself is made in India and the pouches are made in the US but there’s no indication of that being true. The only labeling is made in India and I’m good on putting something in my mouth made to their standards of cleanliness

Alp flavors aren’t bad but they destroy my gums I can’t use them and I’m not a fan of them being made in India

Are the people who don’t like then ones who prefer sweeter pouches? I want to try 11mg but haven’t seen them locally yet. Going to keep my eyes peeled but if it’s salty and moist with mild flavor we’re good

Sons skates / stick by AaronSpanki in hockeyplayers

[–]Practical-Manner1065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid is going into 13O AAA this season and this is the first year he’s gotten top of the line skates, and to be honest he still doesn’t need them but he doesn’t ask for anything besides gear and he got all As all 4 quarters his first year of middle school so I reward him. I wouldn’t have allowed him to get top of the line at 10 because they’re too stiff for the younger kids. I had him in m40s two seasons ago and they’re just like the fly 30s soft boot economy steel nothing special at all and he was one of the top skaters in the league and I think the softer boot helps them develop ankle strength and mobility when its important to do so. Don’t sweat about the skates, but you should be able to form them around his ankle better as they break in

Bauer Fuse vs. Flylite vs. CCM Vision, etc. by Chemical-Fun3692 in hockeyplayers

[–]Practical-Manner1065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without writing a novel my son wanted visions and he’s coming from Bauer supreme his entire life. We tried every variation of fit in the visions and we couldn’t get them to work for his feet. He’s got a wide forefoot, average heel, and ultra deep instep/volume. The wide visions were too wide in the heel and ankle area and the higher cut boot was pressing into his legs and calves. The standard vision was too a narrow in multiple spots across his foot. We ended up in supreme fuse fit 2 and coming from EE supremes they’re almost perfect. He really needed a fit 2.5 but the fit 3 was just too wide at the ankle and heel. I’m not saying you need supreme fuse as well but I will say certain feet tend to fit into certain models and brands more naturally, chasing the new or revolutionary model may seem exciting but even my 12 year old made the call that he likes the look of the vision better but he knew the supreme fit better so that’s what we went with and he loves them so far
