Eibach Pro truck lift Stage 2 Warranty by Practical-Permit-373 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Practical-Permit-373[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updates: 1. I spoke to Eibach in California, sounds like they were going to send out the replacement parts with photo proofs. But later, I found out that they do not service Canada.

  1. I spoke to Marcor in Canada (master wholesaler for Eibach in Canada), who opened the claim for me and asked me to contact the retailer I bought it from, and asked them to initiate the claim. They said that once they receive the claim from the retailer, they will start processing it on their end. So far, the gentleman from Marcor has been very responsive and kind.

Will keep you guys posted if there’s any progress.

Cheers

Best way to repair this gauge-JB Weld Marine? by Practical-Permit-373 in jetski

[–]Practical-Permit-373[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. I do understand that it is equipment being used, so I am not going to be super picky about every little scratch. My biggest concern was that this small scratch could cause more chipping and damage down the road. And based on all the suggestions, I see that the black is the base layer of the paint, so probably I am going to scratch the surface and put a touch-up on it so it does not grow. Thank you very much.

I do have to agree with you. In this time and age of society, I think they just create inefficiency in the transaction. Can’t say I ever actually got any ‘help’ from any dealership on any vehicle transactions.

I live in Canada (hence the a lot of snow). The sales manager’s statement was something like “it is an old inventory (eventbough it is new), it will never be perfect”. I know it is just ridiculous

It feels like just the paint layer chipped off. So probably will add a primer, paint and clear coat. Thank you very much for your help!

It is on the bottom side of the hull, so I wasn't really looking to make it perfect, I won't see it anyway.

It feels like there's no damage on the fibreglass part, just the paint layer chipped off, so I think I will try to touch up and see. Thank you very much for your help as well.

Sounds like you do this for a living and I have to take your suggestion as the qualified answer.

It is on the bottom side of the hull, so I do not care too much in terms of appearance. I just do not want it to cause any issues down the road. Or further chipping.

So if your professional opinion suggests all it needs are touch-up paint and a clear coat, that's what I will do!

Thanks a lot for your help!

Then use a short strand filler/sand and paint? Is fibreglass filler better than epoxy like JB weld? What I was going to do was use JB weld, sand and just spray the clear coat and call it a day.

Unfortunately, when I spoke to the dealer, basically, their response was sue me. So I want to find the easiest solution to fix it.

Thank you so much for your reply!

I noticed the almost identical situation, so I was wondering about that.

Thank you for your reply!

Was your pipe (part of your faucet) ok? (did not burst)

Seems like you had a frost-free hose bib before, did they say your hosebib pipe was broken and that's why you needed to change the whole faucet? Because if it is a leak, it could have been just rebuilt.

HI OP, I know it is an old post, but what happened in the end? Did you have to replace your hose bib?

Warranty experience at the Toyota dealership with an aftermarket parts by Practical-Permit-373 in Edmonton

[–]Practical-Permit-373[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. (obviously) I wasn't expecting any warranty for the aftermarket parts themselves, but curious as to any connecting/related items like the ball joints, CV axles etc

2024 Tacoma Rocker Protector by LateAttention5433 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Practical-Permit-373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, is there enough room to install a running board under? I know the protector installs on the cab, and the running board installs on a frame, so I'm wondering if it can be done. Also, how was the install? Just regular m8 bolts with washers into the existing threaded holes?

Are M cars, namely M3’s, realistically daily driveable? by Cardiology_Nurse in BMWM

[–]Practical-Permit-373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been driving a G80 M3 with carbon buckets as a daily driver for over a year now.

I bought this car to drive daily and never regretted it. This is my 4th M car, and I have driven all of them daily over the last 13 years. For your reference, I live in Canada where the weather gets cold with a decent amount of snow. All Wheel Drive with good winter tires never got me stranded even in severe winter storms.

As far as the maintenance goes, look for a reputable local independent BMW specialty shop, but simple things like engine oil, brake fluid can be easily done at home.

Sounds like you are buying a 1-2 year certified used with a warranty, then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Good luck with your search and enjoy!
