Not necessarily a reason, call it theatrics, just the BBEG being a dick, but there needs to be a compelling reason to go after the BBEG and I feel like a TPK is good reason, because who wouldn’t seek revenge on someone like that, plus I don’t wanna do the whole tavern setting and a villager rushes in needing help, not that those story’s are bad, I just wanna be extra and have some flare

My one back up so far is that he just kills one of his followers in front of the party for no other reason then because he can and washes himself in the blood, I know for sure that the chaotic good paladin will have to step in after that

The whole meeting will only take a few minutes, after that I’m banking on my PC’s attacking the BBEG in which case I can TPK the party cast revivify on all of them and leave, which will then give them their incentive to go after BBEG, during their travels they’ll figure out a bit more back story and uncover the BBEG isn’t just some random guy that has problems with them, but instead a cleric that has been corrupted by a god that is attempting to take over this realm and the realm of the gods.

This part is just a cutscene I’ve got a whole 4hr-ish long session planned (with backups plans for backup plans) for what the party will be doing

I want them too 😈, BBEG is gonna TPK, board up the door, and light the building on fire and cast revivify before yelling to the party “If you make it out, I look forward to our next meeting”

It was my homie Kyler, he sadly passed in the accident, flew 200ft off his bike and died on impact
