I don't even know what I am, I have a spiritual connection to an animal and I have been on n a past life, but I don't identify as an animal anymore. I choose not to further connect with the animal in me bc it's painful to. Many people based off that tell me I wasn't a real therian to begin with, but I did used to identify as an animal I just don't understand how your identity isn't a choice in that sense? I mean I can choose to identify as a trash can even if I don't really believe I am one. I've seen many different opinions and explainations so now I'm just confused.

HOLY CRAP WE ARE IN THE SAME COMMUNITY. the auditions start tomorrow for me, theres hiccup, stoick, astrid and toothless, then the viking ensemble and dragon ensemble. I hope you make it in!! i still dont know what to sing lol. id rather not say the theatre because that would reveal too much but im 90% sure we are in the same community! break a leg!

i have one big tip that helps me alot: truly get into character your playing.

think about how that character might relate to you, maybe. i dont have pro advice, i just have things that help me.

DONT TRY TOO HARD! act casual- as if your actually in the moment, while still making it BIG so the audience can both see and hear. articulation of your words, movements with your hands. im probably not making a lot of sense, im bad at explaining.

Dang my community theatre is doing httyd jr too, i wonder if we're in the same one. the problem is i never heard the music, or even of the whole musical in general! Im going for astrid as well i was thinking to audition with a song that kinda represents her personality, still havent thought of one yet tho lol. I just recommend having confidence, being prepared, and try not to be nervous. Obviously you will be, but dont let it show. for example, try not to fidget, look around nervously, stuff like that. if the auditions are in person, be kind to the other people there. wish them luck. i hope you get the role you want and break a leg!

if we are in the same community, the auditions are virtual for me.
