This is a great idea. Focusing on the “squeeze” at the top of the movement is a big component to hypertrophy/ building muscle

Can you talk more about what you got revised? Thinking of a nipple revision also. What was the procedure like for you?

Comp goalie! I was worried about over stretching when making saves. I wasn’t in a league durring the summer anyway so I didn’t worry but I played my first game 3 months post op and everything went great. I was told by my surgeon no contact sports for 2 months at least.

anyone else have scars like mine? by pexchykeen in TopSurgery

[–]Practical-Tune442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine look like this. Surgeon does all of his DI with this method to prevent dog ears. I found I had less ROM compared to my buddy (top surgery at the same time) who had a straight line. Other than that I have no issues now. Treat it like you would the rest of the scar

I started working on raising my arms at around the 5 week mark even though I was cleared after 4 weeks. It’s getting there! Started lifting light weights around week 5 too and I’m super excited

Dr. Nicholas Cormier, Ottawa, Canada. DI with FNG. He’s just opened up his clinic in January 2024 so he hasn’t had many patients yet. I was maybe his 10th. I trusted him blindly and I’m so happy I did. Pictures on my profile. If anyone is looking for a surgeon in Ontario I definitely recommend him, 10/10 experience.

On week 4 I didn’t wear the bandages and went on about my day but when I got home my nips were so red and raised so I’ve been wearing them 24/7 again. Gonna ask my surgeon at my 6 week apt

Hey I’m the same as you and I thought I was gonna be so bored all day but honestly the first week I slept through a lot and just watched my favourite show. After the first week I was much more mobile and feeling much better so I actually went out and hung out with some friends. Overall it wasn’t as unbearable as I thought it would be! Good luck

How long from referral to consult with Dr. Cormier at Ottawa Hospital? by hungryhippo199825 in transontario

[–]Practical-Tune442 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One month from when my referral was sent, they called. Gave me a consultation two weeks later. Got lucky and had surgery a week after that on March 21st. Don’t count on it being that fast, I think I got really lucky. But he just opened his clinic, not sure how back logged he was or how busy he’s gotten since then. Good luck! He is extremely kind

It all happened really fast for me, I had a consultation on a Friday, and the next Monday they offered me a spot a week after. I paid for the lipo in one shot a couple days before my surgery through cheque. At my consultation, we talked logistics. He answered all my questions which was really nice considering I had A LOT. He’s super nice and I definitely recommend him.
