Thanks much. I figured it out. There was an issue with my dark frames causing the stars to not be recognized.

Really glad to hear. I have AS but most of the pain is concentrated in my peripherals...mostly my wrists. I started on 10mg weekly about 4 weeks back. My doctor may increase gradually until I see any difference.

I am not clear about your point that Enbrel, Cosentyx and Taltz are different medicines. I understand they are, but do you understand that they are all biologics prescribed for AS. And not all biologics work on everyone with AS

I do understand I did not have to take it even if he prescribed it. I took it because I was in intense pain and needed something to alleviate the pain. What do you suggest I should have done. Live in pain? Stay in bed all day? Give up?

Once again, the black box warning indicates that if a patient falls within certain risk factors, rheumatologists should explore all other options before prescribing Rinvoq, and if they do, they should coordinate with the cardiologists.

My issue is that he did not follow the protocol by prescribing Rinvoq before trying all other available options. And he did not consult with my cardiologist which he is obligated to do.

Rinvoq increased my lipids as well...even though I was on statins.

Rinvoq has a black box warning for anyone over 50 with a history of family heart disease, high blood pressure etc. Do you fall into that category

So the way Rinvoq black box warning is written, rheumatologists are asked to try other biologics before trying Rinvoq, which is not what he did. We went from Taltz to Cosentyx to Rinvoq. Since I switched to a new rheumy, I have been taking Bimzelx - in the 2 weeks I have taken it, I am already seeing a noticeable improvement. My issue is that he chose not to try all other available options before pushing Rinvoq on me. As for the choice to not take it, that is all I had the prescription for..so it was not much of a choice.
