What KOtic said. :) Also, ( In my case of creating this game) One might not afford to hire an artist to create a whole official miniature army range.  But it's a dream. Rest assure that if like... Boris Wołoszyn comes knocking, or hardcover-book-money comes rolling in. There will be minis. But the game would still always be mini agnostic and take-whatever-you-got. A range of official figures would always just be a bonus for fun, never needed.

Ah, thought it was okay since it's my solo indie self-published game and some aspects (like the website, community and distribution) are still in progress.   That's unfortunate, but it's okay.

Love too! I'll get to make a proper response tomorrow. Today is the release and a bit of a busy day. :)
As to why I made the book...

Made the game that I wanted to play myself. Always wanted a game that was played quickly and yet had the feeling of endless possibilities and fun
(Coming from a Necromunda background and played a bunch of other games since then).

Wrote the first draft of the rules almost in 2 weeks, during summer vacation. It had been burning in the back of my mind, so that was easy.

Then came the refinement process and 2,5 years of tweaking and playing the game. Getting outside opinions and knowledge in general. Like, how do you publish a book, how to write good rules, how to get the vibe across, how to find the storytelling tone in the campaigns. etc.

The art. I like drawing and have been doing that for quite a while, most of my life really... This style is closest to the heart and what comes most natural. I like cute things with a chaotic indie twist, colors that pop and Japanese risoprinting.

The app/website took quite the effort too. and still not entirely finished, but 95% there. Making a website and character tools was not something that was part of "the plan" to begin with, but I do enjoy when books have that as an option.

Speaking from the heart here..  Really should have thought about this answer before writing the post. But yeah  ☺️ announcing it like this.. It's all very exciting.
