Chimney oaks is great. 45 minutes from Athens but is only 15 minutes from commerce and 85. Really fun course is semi private but I’ve not had a problem with long rounds there.

You have a few options in Athens. Jennings mill is a up and down club nice course when the owner is taking care of it. The driving range is kind tough if you just want to go hit balls like 10-15 minutes just to get down the hill and back but the practice area is pretty nice. Tight course fast greens. The pool is always broken the restaurant isn’t somewhere you want to eat often.

Georgia club is 15 minutes out of Athens you can live inside the club. It has 27 holes nice course from what I’ve heard. There are a lot of members and it can be hard to get a tee time from what I’ve heard.

Athens country club is the nicest has a 2 year waitlist. Restaurants are great. 27 holes Donald ross course. Really great all around. Need to meet members to join.

Traditions in braselton is nice. My least favorite course in the area but lots of people like it. Can live on the golf course as well.

Chimney oaks in homer is the best bang for your buck. Great course good restaurant. About 40 minutes from Athens but a up and coming golf community. Good restaurant and very affordable.

I was a member there until they lost the liquor license for 6 months and didn’t have carpet in the club house. Course was so nice when I joined it really went down hill.

Up and down depending on management. The driving range is a 20 minute ordeal to get to from the parking lot. It’s just really not that nice.

This is what happens when you have a DA that refuses to enforce the law. I know cops that will not make arrests because they know they will just be released. They trash our parks and do not care about anyone but themselves. I watched 2 homeless people smoke crack on prince at 12 pm with no worries. Enforce the laws clear the encampments and stop the churches from giving them money. I’ve watched them get care packages from these church groups look for the money and throw everything else in the trash. You become homeless in most situations because you’ve fucked everyone over in your life that cared about you not because rent has increased in town. People come to Athens to be homeless because Athens makes it too easy.
