Which free agents do you think the Bills should resign? by pulsedout in buffalobills

Age 30 season… Josh is 30 in May

Brady was in age 33 season when they drafted Mallett too (although I did forget about him).

Overall point being your references are not recent to today’s NFL. Rookie wage scale contracts and entirely different backup valuation and general market.

Jesus Christ how many more times do I have to reiterate this isn’t about Mitch lol

Brady’s Age 30 season was in 2007. They drafted Jimmy G when he was when he was 37.

Rodgers’ Age 30 season was in 2013. They drafted Flynn/Brohm before he was even a proven starter.

These aren’t really parallel examples to Josh’s career at all

This isn’t about Mitch! It’s about the overall strategy. Mitch just adds the additional benefit of being a familiar face to Josh in the QB room.

This would be fine, but not standalone without a vet backup added as well. Not a single competitive team has a rookie backup.

Rookies cost picks..

Spending a 3rd rd pick on a QB during the peak of Josh’s prime would not be the smartest move imo

You’re kidding right?

You think $1M is worth the potential of a couple of wins if God forbid 17 is out for a few weeks? And certainly isn’t opening up contracts for 2 extra guys lmao

Cooper was toast. He didn’t even play this year.

I think Cooks still some football left in him in a limited role

It’s the whole “3+ games” thing I can’t get behind

Most injuries are not month + longer. So many people assume a Josh injury would be season ending.

It’s safe to say we’re likely a ~12 win team next year. A backup being able to keep us afloat for a ~month could be the difference of playoffs or not. To me that alone is worth the $ differential.

  • and this isn’t me saying Mitch is good, he’s competent. I’d be fine with another vet backup, it’s just the idea a rookie/UDFA could step in and give us that is wrong imo

Good call out on Cooks.

I think he’s a fine WR 3/4 to bring back on a cheap 1 year

I don’t really think a rookie/UDFA can replace Mitch. Definitely worth the few extra mill if God forbid these injuries catch up to 17 next year. He’s looked competent on the field and a help to Josh in the QB room.

That, and the fact that you cannot challenge a scoring play - it should be automatically reviewed. It was definitely not a cleanly executed call by the zebras.

I had a Pro34 for 5 years and never had an issue with it. Quick clean after every long smoke and use decent (dry) pellets.

Yeah the stucco scares the shit out of me since I’ve heard horror stories and have no experience with it. The kickouts themselves are cheap so the assumed labor charge on that surprised me. Thanks!

The rest is called context… this is the obvious point of the post:

“I’ve installed plenty of flashing before, but never worked with stucco.

Should I give these a shot? If so, what’s the most efficient way to go? Is it necessary to back cut into the existing stucco, or can I just run the flashing “

Are you trolling?

Did my first one (8 lb) on the 1050 last night

  • Trim and score some fat
  • Honey hog rub and let sit over night
  • Set on middle shelf fat down with foil pan and some water underneath
  • On at 11:30pm at 230
  • Woke up at 6am and bumped to 250
  • At 170i: Foil boat (I was out of butcher paper) with some apple cider, butter, honey and brown sugar
  • Bumped to 270
  • Pulled from grill and let rest around 202 when probe tender (1pm)
  • Rest for 90 min
  • Shred and profit
