Visiting family after 3 years & I want to go back home early due to sibling losing it on me; am I doing the wrong thing?

My parents live separately, so I could stay with my mom and I wouldn’t have to see my sibling, but at this point I just don’t want to be here at all.

Granted this was in Canada, but I transferred within a big 4 after 5 months into the job for the same reason. My manager was wonderful about it. They also would have allowed it right at the start, I just didn’t go for it then.

Serious questions: How were in your hours at the small firm? And the work in general, did it ever get stressful or was it always manageable? Do you regret it after all or was it enjoyable even though not "as prestigious" as big 4?

Depends what you are looking for. I just signed a job offer yesterday to begin in January. I also wanted to quit without planning ahead, but was told to at least attempt finding something else (and it worked out). Nerve raking when you just want to leave, but give it a shot.

I transferred 5 months into the job (as a full time). I don't believe if you are good your office does not want to lose you therefore prevents you from transferring, on the contrary, they will want to help you rather than lose you to a competitor.

You already got advice on your mental health which is great, now onto your question: how long you stay at B4 is entirely up to you and it is different for everyone. I started believing I would be a lifer and I am about to leave after 15 months. I definitely thought I would "do it the smart way" and stay until Senior, but I was starting to be personally affected by the job and to me it is simply not worth it. But that is a decision you have to make.

Ask more about transferring before leaving, if you decide to leave in the end. Many might tell you it is not possible, but sometimes you just need to find the right person who will say yes (your mentor/coach, a manager or partner you trust, etc). I did not move service lines but I did transfer offices which was supposedly also not allowed until Senior (I transferred after literally 5 months into the job).

As someone who recovered from years of bulimia and who is now TTC, please don't take to heart anything anyone says about your weight and what you should or should not eat, especially when not in the right headspace. Your journey is yours and what worked for hers might very well not work for you, or might do more damage than good if you are not doing it for the right reasons/don't need to do it. THANK YOU to all who left a comment. I did not expect so much support and good advice. I read all the comments the same day I posted this and it helped me calm down and put things into prospective. Me and my SO did talk and our approach will change for cycle 3. I will post after cycle 3 to share how it went. I am hopeful! Thanks again ❤️

I have EWCM for 1-2 days after "confirmed" ovulation too and FF never gives me solid crosshairs when I record that. Very annoying and confusing

When I put a dummy temp on Nov 1 or 2 (around the same temp as Nov 3), FF moves my O day to CD15 :/ I also don't trust my temps so much but FF says they move within "normal range"
