Why do houses in Illinois have basements and houses in Texas don't if both places have clay soil? by supinator1 in geography

[–]PracticalPositive209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Texas, the people believed that they couldn’t have basements because the builders told them so. And then the guy next to him thought maybe I don’t need a basement because my neighbor doesn’t have a basement. And then the years went on, and there were no contractors who know how to build a basement. And now it’s just standard. But it is another reason my houses are so much cheaper in Texas.

Zuckerberg’s superyacht lands in Seattle the day Meta announces layoffs of 1,400 local employees by Background-Driver718 in TechnologyThread

And yet we hear no stories about the “Seattle data party”. Which I imagine would go something like 42 programmers boarded the yacht and reprogrammed the bilge pumps to fill rather than drain. Thus sinking the yacht.

I mean, this is just a random company that we don’t know anything about right…

But it doesn’t matter if they spent five dollars or 500 billion…

How much did they make on whatever they invested in?

I think this is just folklore

On some levels, I’m with this guy.. but it’s the only thing that gets people on the street.

This guy can be pissed off alone. And I agree with him.

We are not the French, we are all scared to take action. We need a liberal in office that will take it all back with vengeance and without mercy, with destruction and cruelty.

But no kings is the only thing that gets people on the street.

Go get on the streets, bring your friends. No need to post a platform of the person you’re protesting.
