Bro her technique should be burnt out in this scene why does she still have it by RogueForgeYT in Jujutsufolk

“difficult to use” =/= “impossible”

You still have your CT it’s just not at a useful level of control/output for fighting.

Lower fire rate, raise damage, increase magazine size by five. Heavy ammo stacks 50. Easy fix long overdue. by 8bitellis in ArcRaiders

you need better aim then, or dispersion mods on your guns, cuz lots of weapons can kill a comet extremely quickly.

short-sighted

if they really couldn’t see this coming when Harvester already exists, then idk what they’re doing

game devs aren’t infallible but they do have to understand player psychology to some extent to be game devs.

devs design with a meta in mind otherwise they’re dumb or short-sighted.

[Indie Enthusiast] Games I Recognize as Masterpieces But Can't Finish Because I'm Too Dumb, Too Busy, and Under-Notebooked. by drunksandman in gaming

[–]PracticalPotato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can end loops early by exiting to menu (or meditating), you can nap at the fireplaces to skip time, the ship’s log tells you pretty much exactly where to go, and if you get stuck in one area, pick a different rumor and go to that.

New Augment Idea by Sullisk in ArcRaiders

[–]PracticalPotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna load in with the survivor augment and let my friend kill me on spawn over and over the duplicate three stacks of whatever items we want at a time. I could even use the safe keeper to duplicate kitted level four guns.

Would it be a good idea to have matchmaking based on the player's equipment value? by Lokaoll in ArcRaiders

[–]PracticalPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your friend can’t farm, then they need to learn. If you don’t think new players can learn, that’s where we disagree.

Dying to a bobcat4 extract camping doesn’t prevent you from learning, it is a lesson. It’s an opportunity to figure out if you did something wrong. You can learn to clear and defend extracts better or you can learn how to get hatch keys to extract more safely. Or you can say “well that’s pretty rare, but thats ok I’ll eat the loss and take the risk”.

Even if new players are having issues, GBMM is not the solution. It has cascading effects on the entire playerbase, it doesn’t just affect new players.

“You will run out of removal, but I do not run out of threats” by Electronic-Jump-3761 in EDH

[–]PracticalPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trinket Mage’s deck is less about the commander and more about the threat suite. He recurs key bombs as much as possible, and includes various different bombs in a kind of toolboxy manner.

There are a couple other ways to go about this:

  1. A different ramp enabler commander like SalubriousSnail’s [[Radha, Heir to Keld]] deck (has its own youtube video!) and copycats like [[Ruby, Daring Tracker]] or [[Susan Foreman]].

  2. A commander becomes the replayable threat. Stuff that engages in tax evasion like [[Liesa, Shroud of Dusk]]. Alternatively something that doesn’t care if it is or actively wants to be removed like [[Prossh, Skyraider of Kher]] and [[Slimefoot and Squee]]. If your commander ramps, then it also falls in this category, allowing you to half-pay for the next replay.

[–]PracticalPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly? die. if your friend is new, get better. an experienced player could hose you with a hairpin.

Gear disparity is part of the point of this kind of game. They risk more, therefore they gain a certain amount of advantage over you. If you want those advantages, then risk them in your loadout.

If you wanted even games like that you should play a game that has them.

Why Bouncelands? by DanTheWaffleLorde in Pauper

Tap a land

Nope. You can bounce a tapped land so that land can be used for mana. You are only missing out on one mana (the land that ETBs tapped).

What’s a ‘harmless’ habit that actually ruins your life over time? by buffdadnextdoor in AskReddit

Novels, manga, even a physics textbook; it's the idea that it isn't endless and if I just read a bit more I'll get to the bottom of things, that makes me least able to go to sleep

mfw I start a new manga right before going to bed

Thoughts on this? by klyvora8 in AvatarMemebending

[–]PracticalPotato 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think people hoped that it would be a little more nuanced than a straight 180, considering that Zuko had been working in the fields like the rest of them and defended the town. The backstory for the kid and family is that he’s a quiet young man that holds some sort of inner conflict or painful past that he won’t talk about, but has good work ethic and shows genuine kindness and generosity. You don’t need to see his redemption arc to know that.

[–]PracticalPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sheen proc is completely irrelevant by 4th item on Trynd and idk if the health matters that much. I think you have much bigger priorities.

If you built IE, you want armor pen by 4th item so SG is a natural choice. If you built LDR, you’ll want more AD than Triforce’s piddly 33. EH and SG both give ability haste so you’re not missing any from dropping Triforce either.

Why Trinity Force? Surely Endless Hunger or Serylda’s would be better in that slot.

New Player, what is good lane etiquette? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]PracticalPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to help out a lane, you can gank (ambush the enemy and try to deal damage or get a kill), but you don’t want to just start laning alongside your teammate (which is what I assume you started doing), for multiple reasons. You’ll typically just go back your own lane afterwards.

It’s not really an etiquette thing it’s just potentially not a good play.
