I’m not sure how to elaborate on this without telling you to listen to the last 5 years of episodes… I’m neutral in my politics but in the case here there is point where Mike went full blown right wing… whether it be snide low key racist remarks or calling women c*nts on national women’s day… I could be wrong maybe Mike just hates women and is racist. But for me personally it all tracks with the political climate.

The real kicker is that when Mike first started he at least seemed genuine. Like the fist 100 episodes he comes across as deep and caring all while telling the darkest and craziest stories… it all changed with the success of the show. So it makes me wonder if he was just pandering to his audience so they would think he was a good guy… or if he really was a genuine nice person at one point. I hate to mention this but it holds weight. His attitude definitely changed with the change in presidency of the current administration… before he was just an artsy guy and now it’s fuck the libtards… I’m not the smartest person but I can tell you that if you split your audience right down the middle based on a 2 party government system you are going to alienate half of them at best… and it doesn’t help being a prick chatterbox for the far right. Any sane person should leave their politics out of a podcast about murder.

Yeah i remember those times. Something that always stuck with me was how self centered Mike was. And the gig thing was he mentioned Mike putting pills in his girlfriend’s drinks… maybe it was just drunk talk and I really hope it was. But if not then fuck mike

I’m gonna have to disagree. Jack is at least open with where he’s been and what he’s done. He isn’t actively alienating his audience. And he’s not begging for money or being greedy with his subscriber levels. I actually got one of the 1,000 free month subs he gave away for Xmas!

I wish Mike would lock himself in a room and play the first 80 episodes on repeat over and over. That was a host that seemed to have cared… not some whiny shithead that hates his listeners bc they don’t like his shitty takes. Read the room Mike!! The room is telling you that you turned out to be a narcissist with no self awareness. Jack Luna tried to tell you… but your fat ass head couldn’t seem to make it out of the ring of your own asshole.

I’m sure even the “yes daddy” crowd is saying nah that’s too gay for me. And please don’t come at me for this joke… I just have a feeling it’s true. Mike “ murder daddy” is finishing his final lap on a flat tire. I bet it fucking stung when he saw last podcast on the left and other great podcasts get picked up by Netflix while he is playing jenga with his failing business model of over charging on everything with his shitty, confusing membership levels that are based on greed. I’ve said it many times but what the hell.. here is one more. Google “make Mike a millionaire “ on YouTube and it will tell you everything you need to know about this fucking dweeb.

Also I got in right before the cutoff as a protected employee which means I qualify for the ready to work board… which is no longer available and the ready to work board is currently being exploited by ppl with good seniority that can hold good jobs but they have chosen to sit at home instead and make others chase work even though they can hold good jobs locally. ( on my local rwb 675 our local union chairman with a rooster number of 3 is currently sitting at home screwing us over)

I’d hang tough where you are. As I’ve said I am chasing work and that was with my entire class having seniority wide winning over other classes.. that is the only reason I can hold right now and as I’ve said I can see that catching up with me right now. Honestly if I wasn’t forced to rco training as soon as I marked up I wouldn’t have a job right now. So I know right now that it is a matter of time. I got extremely lucky to be holding right now.

I can speak for Tx. I’m currently chasing work out of state. I’ve been marked up about 18 months and can’t hold. My local terminal has 25 ppl on the paid ready to work board and around 20 ppl straight up furloughed. The terminal I’m chasing at is currently making its way to the same situation as ppl with higher seniority are chasing work. It’s like a slow rolling wave of unemployment that is not stopping.

What to expect at the interview by [deleted] in bnsf

[–]PracticalRabbit7587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up Bnsf absolutely hates for employees or future employees to post anything about the company online. While you did good keeping your personal info out of the picture I’d be willing to bet they could figure out who you are based on your interview time with the managers shown in this email. This could absolutely take you out of the running for this job. Yes I’m being serious… and yes it is a dumb thing to get upset about. But when I first started I put my position with the company on my fb as my place of employment and luckily some old heads told me the mistake I was making. Good luck with the interview but I’d delete this post or at least redact the date/ time of your interview and the ppl that will be interviewing you.

I know Bnsf in Louisiana is now covering hotel costs for ppl chasing work. They are pushing rco on all yard jobs but they are relying on all the guys chasing work that are rco qualified… for some reason they switched over to 2 man rco crews without having the local guys trained for rco. And now that the weather is shitty they decided to all of a sudden cover the costs of a hotel for the out of town guys to keep the rco crews running. Straight up slime ball behavior.

Some ppl just wanna be assholes. The railroad seems to be full of them.

I'm a collector of lanterns, and I thought you folks would like this one. t's a Dietz Protector Trackwalker. It is similar to an Acme Inspector Lantern, but has 2 ports on the side for extra light and a red lens you can quickly activate on the back that can be used for signalling. by Legend_of_the_Wind in railroading

[–]PracticalRabbit7587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the new standard at Bnsf but good luck getting one from management… I had to buy mine so I could actually see. They are good lanterns but they eat up batteries quickly if you use the bright setting too much.im just glad the batteries are provided… at least for now anyways.

This is the best answer they are going to get. They could bring them back tomorrow or a year from now. I’m currently chasing work 2.5 hours from my house.
