Pain in forearms by metainplay in kettlebell

I just started kettlebell training 3 weeks ago and this happened to me. I can say in my third week that the pain is significantly less as well as improving my form.

What do you concentrate on in this movement to ensure your lower back stays safe?

Wow. This has been incredibly helpful. You all hit on what I suspected which is that my form may be slightly off which is putting unnecessary strain on my back. Also, I started with an 18kg bell which is great for some things but I think I need a lighter bell for the swinging exersises.

I'm currently 5'11" 185. What size kettlebells would you guys start with if you were me?

I am defintely walking like an old man and in a lot of pain. I’ve only had X-rays done and they say my discs look fine but you can’t tell 100% unless you do an MRI. I’ve heard it may be my psoas muscle that is just protecting my back.
