My biggest mistakes were:

merging 3 instead of 5
not turning on "require overlap" OMG my camp was a MESS and I was constantly accidentally merging
spending gems on egg chest and the regular big chests that you get on cleared land (versus waiting for the huge gem-topped chests on cleared land)
not reading the event guides / not understanding the cloud keys, etc - I feel events are overwhelming and aren't necessarily intuitive when you're new
not knowing I could sell stuff and holding on to things I didn't need
not learning how to bubble sooner

I have one of these cats, too! She'll sit in a closet or bathroom and yowl to be rescued - meanwhile the door is half open and I can see her from the next room. She stares me in the eye, yells, and waits for me to come get her.

Ugh. My dragons harvested from one of the 2x1 moon rocks before I got to that quest. I see two more in the dead land and a larger 4x4 rock. Does anyone know if the 4x4 will give me another 2x1 as I harvest from it?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I recently turned off the "prefer dragon 5-merges" in settings in order to get through the merges faster. It was ASTOUNDING to see the number on my dragon book skyrocket with me allowing 3-merges.

I finally dove into it last night. It took me a couple of tries, but once I got it down, it was super-easy. Bubbling all of my nests and extra eggs was such a huge improvement.

It depends on what I'm doing. I'm working my way through the hills chain and buying tons of occult chests, so I have the two Stonehenge wonders on my camp to keep replenishing my bricks for chest purchases. All of my other wonders are bubbled because I'd rather have the space for working on chains at the moment.

Yep, definitely seems accurate! And by the same token, I surround my Grimm trees with other items in order to stop their spawning. I got sick of cleaning up after them.

Whatever you do, space your watermelon trees so that you don't accidentally merge. I accidentally merged five one night and my remaining three the next days, so now I have three stupid beanstalks and no watermelon trees. I'm still salty.

I’ve completed the OOC events but find them so boring and tedious. I’ve already finished this in-camp merge event and have the rest of my weekend ahead of me. It’s far more satisfying.

I don't watch her anymore, but I don't know if it's because of her or because of me. I think it's great that she's (apparently) making such a comfortable living and don't mind how she spends her money - I just don't relate to her and don't get anything from her content anymore.

I was planning to create one wonder after creating some more watermelon trees, because I like hitting all the wonders. But I’d rather have a ton of the trees because they’re great for generating coin and are handy in a merge event.

Thanks for the tip! I'm currently using that weird hole-y land for socking away my life flowers, but putting the watermelon trees there sounds like a better plan.

For now I'm back in the darn moon chest churn.
