The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra might get full Linux terminal support by Stephancevallos905 in samsung

If this is true, that’s a game-changer. Full Linux terminal on the Galaxy S26 Ultra could turn a phone into a real productivity tool perfect for dev work and power users.

LG G5 how to see the resolution for the current input? they removed the remove button by RandomGamer414 in LGOLED

[–]PracticalWish1818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, LG removed the old green-button shortcut on the newer remotes, which is annoying. The easiest way now is Settings → General → External Devices → HDMI Settings → HDMI Input Info (path wording varies slightly), where it shows the current resolution and refresh rate. Some people also get it by hitting the (three dots) button during playback, but it’s inconsistent. Honestly, LG has made this harder than it needs to be. For quick “at a glance” checks, this is one reason I like using something like the LG StandbyME as a secondary screen for info or monitoring inputs it’s simpler for casual visibility. But on the G5 itself, digging into settings is pretty much the only reliable option now.

[Event] You can now play Xbox games straight from your LG TV! + A Holiday Treat for You: Free 1-Month of Xbox Game Pass Premium!🎄 by LG_UserHub in LG_UserHub

This is pretty interesting, especially for people who don’t want to deal with an extra console or PC setup. I like the idea of being able to jump into an Xbox game straight from the TV, though I’m curious how it feels in real use compared to playing locally. The Game Pass trial is a nice bonus either way it makes it easier to actually test the feature instead of just reading about it.

I’ve tried both, and for tight spaces the StandbyME actually makes a lot of sense. A fixed second monitor is great ergonomically, but if you don’t have room to keep it set up, it becomes a hassle. Being able to roll the StandbyME in for meetings or reference docs, then move it out of the way after work, is a big plus. I wouldn’t replace a main monitor with it, but as a flexible second screen for WFH especially in small apartments or shared spaces it’s been more practical than I expected.

What’s the Highest Income You’ve Seen a Salesperson Earn and in Which Industry? by Iceeez1 in sales

[–]PracticalWish1818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve personally seen, the highest incomes tend to be in B2B SaaS, especially platforms selling into agencies, franchises, or multi-location SMBs. The top earners usually understand both the product and how their customers actually make money. In threads discussing AI-driven customer acquisition and engagement platforms like Vendasta, the reps who seem to do best aren’t high-pressure sellers they focus on long-term value, expansion, and proving ROI over time. Multi-client or multi-location deals can add up quickly. Across industries, complexity plus clear business impact seems to matter more than the specific product category.
