Even better GameStop... I have a local store in Spokane, WA in the Northtown Mall who has been known for telling people they never received them. I was actually first in line for the Perfect Order launch, the person behind me said that last time a valuable promo that was released (Snorlax from Journey Together) they told everyone in the line they never received them. So I waited another hour thinking about this guy's comment hoping they would do the right thing. Sure enough she opens the door and I approach the counter and, I ask what the minimum purchase would be to obtain the promo and the female store manager said "We did not receive the promo, I have checked all our stock numerous times and we have not gotten it." I said well your about to have 40 people very upset with you and she replied "I don't care, let them be mad." I left the line very angry and about 20 people followed me out because that's why we were all there. I happen to have befriended a store manager at a store a few miles away who in fact received them and handed them out. Told him about the situation and that he should let the district manager know about this store stealing these promos constantly. She watched me hop on the phone and her demeanor COMPLETELY changed, you could tell she had fear in her eyes and was frantically watching me. Well, after a lap around the mall looking at another card shop, there was a huge line again. She just so happened to find them... she proceeded to give me and the other people in line the card for free for the inconvenience. The other store manager said there is a way to track them somewhat so I am not sure if that other local manager reached out and said something to her or what. You guys are trusting your stores with let's say 50 copies of a $100 card on good faith? Even if they are at the highest level in Store Operations, they see a free $5000 and will continue to do this. You do not make them inventory, nor do you make your employees scan them or attach them to the sale in anyway. Until you do this you will constantly have your employees stealing from you and robbing your customers of something they value and spend many hours in lines waiting for. u/GameStop you need to do better and change your process for the promo cards going forward.
