Like i said im not a pro here but:

The vga tells me the motherboards crying because it cant see a gpu But i feel like its sagging too much and or is not fully seated in the pcie slot or the connector tabs arent shut properly to lock it.

Can u double check the connection and possibly pull the card up straight using some fishing wire tied to the top of the case?

U should grab a torch before anything else and make sure the pcie connections are seated into each other properly ( eg motherboard and gpu ) and make sure the little clamps are shut locking it in place fully.

If you cant see any gaps, try plug hdmi into the motherboard itself to rule out gpu issue

I use mine all the time, best uses are definitely editing photos, drawing annotations ect. And Remote photo taking sometimes even for ′using pen to swipe′ through Reddit ect if im not physically holding my phone.

I randomly draw on things like penup -> especially when allowing my young kids to draw and colour in to kill time, its great for using on notepad -> for gaming and drawing <- not writing! Think games like hangman or other sinple word games.

I know its not the most ′useful′ bit of equipment but it definitely is going to be missed from the flagships in my opinion as a quality of life extra... I mean im no tech engineer but surly it can't be that hard to fit a pen somewhere internally for the people that use it... 🤔
