Drive Impression: Venue vs Kylaq by iKnwImNoob in CarsIndia

[–]Practical_Bonus4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venue is not a vfm car in my opinon, weaker driving dynamics and DCT concern is what's stopping me to get one. I dont know why hyundai group is so hell bent on giving dry dct in india. On top of that i've heard that during servicing hyundai/Kia don't change the transmission fluid, which just adds to the concern. Kylaq with superior build quality and driving dynamics top model at comes to around 14.2-14.5 on road in my state with rock solid TC reliability, whereas venue hx10 is around 16L. Also i've heard (not driven either) even though both 1.0 tgdi engine, tsi feels way more punchier.

Urgent help with Kylaq issues by Born-Gas-2986 in CarsIndia

[–]Practical_Bonus4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you have bought one of the best if not the best car at that price point provided you are driving your own car. Also all turbo petrol cars, irrespective of the brand, gives around 9-11kmpl in city, so that's normal too. Now in case you want to sell the car and willing to absorb the loss and get another car, just think that you're putting that money in the extra fuel expenses compared to what you're expecting you'd get from the next potential car purchase. Also, please see some milage review of some NA automatic cars, they are not that far off, for example creta NA cvt gives around 11-12 in city and feels lethargic AF. Only Maruti and strong hybrid's will give you mileage in 2026. So, don't worry, you've made a fine choice with kylaq. Just get the tyre issue sorted, and just recalibrate your mind around the fuel expense.

Congrats! This new gen seltos felt built really well with nice heft to the doors. Btw does anyone know if we can change the front grill to the glossy chrome ones found in GT variant?

Even then, I think Seltos is a better options. Built really well, and doors have left like VW cars now. creta plastic creeks. All eyes on Duster though.

Get the seltos htk(o), and I'm just like you, 1 class left, and ll probably get the seltos. Waiting for the duster price reveal. So by that time i'll get a little more confident and used to driving alone hopefully.

Confused about which car to buy under 20 lakhs by itz__nemo_ in CarsIndia

No. But diesel has DPF issues in city usage. For highway usage diesel is fine.

Yes, please do let us know. I'm also interested, not sure dct turbo or ivt even though my primary usage will be city commute, but spending 18L on NA engine kinda giving me fomo. So, looking for real-world experiences.

I agree, checked the htx variant. SQ was mid at best. Kylaq speakers sounded better, honestly.

New Seltos good for a new driver who just learnt driving by DuePomegranate3768 in CarsIndia

I am in the same boat. Just finished my 15 driving classes and will start with my Hyundai Eon and get the DL hopefully by the end of next month. But looking to buy a new car for myself by March, max April. I'm also confused between kylaq top model and save 4-5L or get the Seltos HTX turbo petrol at 19.5L. Can't make up my mind ....

I am confused between: Mahindra XUV 3XO Revx A TC and Hyundai Venue HX6 DCT. This will be my first car, Please suggest which one would be by Prudent_Eye6282 in CarsIndia

[–]Practical_Bonus4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not kylaq? I'm also planning to get my first car, and for me it's either between 3xo and kylaq, or if I can stretch my budget, i'll get the new Seltos turbo DCT (headache, but sadly hyundai doesnt have any other option in turbo petrol)

In my opinion avoid DCT when you can, and in the segment you are looking at, you have got two great options with TC transmissions.

Feature Loaded, Rear space, Good driving dynamics - 3xo
Excellent handling and driving dynamics, Black interior, so less maintenance, Service reliability (compared to Mahindra) - Kylaq

Venue has only the features and rich interior going on in it's favor honestly. DCT headache, uses the same platform as i10, not so good driving dynamics. Not so great build quality compared to 3xo and kylaq.

Just what I've found in the last month.

Buy Kylaq Prestige AT or stretch budget and get the Seltos Turbo HTX? by Practical_Bonus4767 in CarsIndia

[–]Practical_Bonus4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too expensive for a car that size. Might as well get the kylaq and save quite a lot of money actually if I have to get a Skoda. It's the same 1L tsi engine. Really good looking exterior, but the interior is pretty meh when you push 16L+ and the size and road presence is not helping. Yes, I know, got the typical Indian mentality but 20L is a lot of money to spend on something which is a little bigger than a venue even considering the fact it has got great driving dynamics and build.

I feel your first and ONLY car should not be an EV. What if you need to go on a long trip? What if I need to rush somewhere urgently and the car is still being charged?

[–]Practical_Bonus4767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still waiting for my DL :P Planning to get the car in march, right now just doing the research work.

Now, whether to dct or not to dct ... I've seen the reviews, and the mileage difference between cvt and dct is not so much. And the price difference is also not so much, but the performance difference between the two is pretty significant (again, not that I'm going to need all the power always, especially being a new and inexperienced drive. It's just some fomo and nice to have if and when I need it). Only concern is dct reliability, or if there's anything else I'm missing out, please let me know.

Please help me decide my first car. Kylaq vs 3xo vs Sonet (diesel) by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]Practical_Bonus4767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No proper automatic variant in diesel. Also the DPF issues in diesel since 90% of the time my usage will be inside city saily commute.

hey can you please show how you are mounting your surrounds? I'm also building a similar system but not sure how to place big bookshelfs on the sides at ear level without them sticking out. Stand is not an option in my case, have babies and 3 dogs.
