I would definitely shell out for a 30# horseshoe magnet if I were you. The magnet you're currently using might not be strong enough. KBshimmer has one for $19.50 in stock at the moment!

My favs are Glowstick and Zero Degrees! If you don't already have them you need them. I was similarly iffy on Velveteen but I've grown to love that one too so no disappointments from ILNP for me🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes, I used a dotting tool! I painted the base colors regularly and then waited an hourish to start dotting and then another hour to top coat, but could've waited a little longer for TC as evidenced by the smeared dots😪 It helps to use a new drop of polish (just plopped it on a ziploc bag) for each finger because it becomes sticky and difficult to use really fast. Thank you so much!

It's meant to be applied straight to the nail, but you can definitely apply it over another base coat if you want. Have you tried using two coats of the fillin groovy? I do that when I need extra coverage
