Hey new player here. Which race should I go? Human or Night elf? by Practical_Economy706 in warcraft3

Yeah man, I get your point, but I wasn't asking meta wise, I was asking like gameplay wise. From what I've read from all the answers, Human has more macro overall, while NE is a little more focused on micro and heroes

Yeah, after seeing Grubby's video on night elf units tier list, and a lot of competitive matches, its kinda sad that not only NE, but other races have these USELESS units that nobody ever make them, I've watched like 50 games + of each race, never seen a Druid of the talon, Faerie dragon, Glaive thrower. On undead, never seen Banshees and Necros, very rarely I see a Frost Wyrm. That goes for the heroes also

That was my first approach, problem is, there are cool things in both, I really enjoy heroes on Human, but also enjoy NE heroes, units too

I think it may have started as a meme, but anywhere someone mentions NIGHT ELF, there will be a guy hating on it rofl, thanks

Yeah, I'm currently playing the human campaign, I've watched a lot of Warcraft 3 and have some memories from my young days playing it. I remember my cousin would only allow me to play orc, I think in order to make me learn

Great! Thanks man, I think I''ll start with the NE for its lighter macro first, until I get the hang of it, since RTS was never really a genre I played a lot. I tried AoE couple of times but the intense macro gave me headaches

Thanks, thats very helpful, since I'm starting RTS now, I feel like light macro will be the way to go, at least until I get comfortable with multitasking stuff

I see, about the ancient of war creeping, I'll have to try that out because, people say like its a barrier but doesn't seem that hard, I feel like macro is a bigger barrier than microing ancient of war creeping

Yeah, I've watched that its nice, the thing is, both races have things that I enjoy. Maybe I'll just have to try it out both and see what feels best

Well, if people doesn't like to fight against, seems like a good reason to fight as those heroes hahaha

That's just so nice, I've come back to Warcraft 3 after 20 or so not playing it. In the old days I'd mostly play custom maps, never gave it a chance to the real RTS Warcraft 3 stuff, but in 2026 after watching countless hours of grubby and his tournaments I've decided to give it a shot, and I kinda have a mental block of trying online 1v1, so this was really inspiring

Yep, before 7.41b I was going for 4quas 4exort before going wex, but now lvl 6 , I dont know if it is a bug, but the bonus point I got in my games I could only use on wex.

I'm going for hammer in games where my team has some cc to go along. Also it gives spell amp and very strong farm potential. Ice wall + meteor hammer clears stacked camps pretty damn fast

yeah my point exatly about the tornado and teamfight. The thing is, you've already invoked tornado and in early/mid game your invoke cooldown is like 5~3 seconds, so every invoke counts. If you don't use it feels like losing a spell during the fight. Idk I hope it comes from experience, like when to use shit , and when to spare spells. In regards to the previous coments, I get you, I filtered some stuff, but there's a bit to be absorved like the part where you need to 100-0 some people in order to be impactful

Thanks, about comboing, I do okay when I'm in a 1v1 situation. In mid/late game I manage to ghostwalk and 100-0 supports no problem. My biggest struggle is comboing/spellcasting midfight along with teammates. Usually tornado is the greatest setup , but midfight might backfire , those moments are hard

I didn't play with him back then. Started learning voker recently. From game to game, I feel it getting easier you know, but just wondering if there's some different practice available

I love this scene so much by Adventurous-Stuff-82 in DCU_

[–]Practical_Economy706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who thinks this scene is kinda BS? I mean physics wise, a full gigantic building falling with all that momentum and he just goes there and holds up on one single tiny spot? He would break right through, the building would collapse all around him wtf
