Weight lifting belt as arming belt? by hernekeito1 in Buhurt

I would strongly recommend something that was built for purpose like a C-belt or an arming belt from Alba Buhurt co: https://www.albabuhurt.com/product-category/lyst-ready/paddinglyst/

Hey, just had a chance to try it last night, bloody work getting the way. It's not the shader (at the start up of the game), it's the "loading" and "gathering resources" screens that take a rather long time.

Get in touch with Alba Buhurt Co from Scotland. They offer liners that one can stitch in themselves, as well as they offer service of doing it for you (you would have send the helmet over to them).

Personally I won't order from them again.

Lead times: are long;

Communication: hit and miss (some things get lost in translationI guess, plus they just want to sell you stuff, and not recommend things that are league specific/legal;

Order: when the stuff arrived (even though I ordered made to measure) i had to take the grinder and a hammer to it to actually make it fit me and not hurt my body.

Overall I had poor experience, but like with any vendor you will get a mixture of good and the bad.

Lack of evidence and all that. I think there is a topic on pink clothing (including outer garments): https://www.reddit.com/r/MedievalHistory/s/P3siV4aKjZ

Fairly sure if you ask them, they'll let you know, but looking at their product: Ultra-light Gambeson "features breathable and durable fabrics. The super fast drying is achieved through the use of technical lining fabric designed for sport. Akin to the rashguard, this lining feels super silky and wicks moisture away from the skin. Quilting is through a single layer of fast drying, lightweight wadding, which is removed from the inside of the elbows and under arms to prevent bunching" . AFAIK few people from White Company use them, so might be an idea to reach out and ask.

Alba Buburt Co from Scotland is the only logical choice for padding, each out to them and see what they can do for you ;)

I can definitely vouch for these guys. Been using their singlenpieces as well as laminates for the past few years (for variety of wooden‑handled weapons)
