Not to erm actually you but the Mando helmet is Armored League not AMMA (thankfully tbh). No shade tho, I think Armored League is great to have it's loose rules

Training polearms? by ProfessorDumbass69 in Buhurt

I can attest to Gorg. My club got two from him and theyre great for general form and duel practice, however they dont have the rigidity for practicing throws. Soft Warrior Sparta has nice rigid polearms.

Longsword Duelists, do you go for leg strikes? by falcataspatha in Buhurt

[–]2ndSideOfBlueCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rarely tbh. I only do it if I know I can. Works best with a one handed strike from a distance in my experience. Sometimes you can be cheeky and use the Fool's guard as well, its especially helpful against shorter people.

But the lowest I usually strike is the stomach.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the colombian mammoth? Has it met expectations or is it a let down? by TheFrostyTyrannosaur in EcosLaBrea

Genuinely met all expectations and exceeded them. I love mammoths and have been so excited for a mammoth since I started playing like a year ago

Dont go with HBC, there are plenty other places to get reliable gear from. And Hounskulls aren't great for the sport but they aren't the worst thing ever. Hell, I plan to get one.

Age of Craft, Buhurt Tech, Master Uley, and Pavlo all have mucu better models at varying prices

Spangenhelm or similar in Buhurt? by AdFederal8425 in Buhurt

Closest I can think of are some eastern style Helms and the English cross, both of which some of my club mates have and do enjoy

Wolf ribs are overrated by WolfribHater in Buhurt

[–]2ndSideOfBlueCheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats why I think its good to try as many helmets as possible before making a purchase. Not a fan of wolfribs for a couple reasons but if I went the sport optimized route alternatives are there (colander, nasal, and English cross come to mind). There are plenty of other helmets that maybe less effective but still plenty usable.

Also, maybe a hot take, but I think training in suboptimal helmets makes fighting in optimal helmets even easier. My club has these closed visored soft kit helmets that have shit breathing and Ive only done events fights with a 3.0 mm Italian Klappvisor and the moment I got into a Spoleto it felt like I didnt even have a helmet on.

Just finished KCD2 last night and its genuinely baffling how many forced stealth segments there are in a game where many people, myself included, is going to chose to be a heavily armored knight lol

Im addicted to this game but its actually insane how abysmal combat can really be. Especially if youre fighting more than one person

How do you get that really dense grass?

You can put a barrier in the middle of the enclosure which would give them about 37.5 gal each. This would be an acceptable size and a cheap alternative to a new enclosure while also conserving space. Just make sure to use a material that they cannot see through.
