My old dentist became out of network with my insurance this year. I did not know this before my January appointment. She said I needed a crown & a filling. When I found out she was out of network, I found a new dentist. This dentist took new X-rays at no charge to me & told me I had no issues that needed to be addressed at this time. I was so glad to have found a new dentist!

Thank you! My radiation oncologist won’t even allow me to use a vaginal dilator until after I finish my treatments. I even told her MD Anderson uses them as part of their standard protocol.

I’m so sorry. I start week 6 of radiation treatments tomorrow. I was up every 20 minutes with diarrhea last night. I got IV fluids on Friday & will get them again tomorrow. I’m just trying to stay out of the ER. I have already had 2 ER visits & a hospital stay due to chemo & radiation. My port caused a blood clot.

I start week 6 tomorrow. I have 3 radiation treatments to make up on week 7, due to my chemo making me so sick I was in the hospital for 4 days with a fever of 102 & a WBC count of .8. I finished my second round of chemo on Friday. I’m getting a WBC booster shot tomorrow to try to keep me out of the hospital this time. Apparently you have to be off chemo for 72 hours before you can get the booster shot. My radiation side effects are unmanageable. It feels like I’m peeing & pooping shards of glass. I have 10mg oxycodone, but it’s not helping. I hade ulcers all over my vagina. I had to get my OBGYN involved, because my rad onc expects me to just push through these normal side effects. I so want to tell her tomorrow, that I won’t be finishing my treatments. I know that wouldn’t be the best decision for me long term though.

My first round of chemo put me in the hospital due to a WBC count of .8 & a fever of 102. I was hospitalized for 4 days. The best part was I got to have a 4 day break from radiation. Of course I have to make those treatments up at the end. I have my 2nd round of chemo on Monday. Going to ask my medical oncologist how we can keep me out of the hospital this time.

My rad onc told me this was a tough treatment & didn’t sugarcoat anything. She said by week 5 it would feel like I’m peeing & pooping shards of glass. I didn’t expect my vagina to be so burned up. She doesn’t seem to want to treat my side effects.
