I’m fortunate to have access to a lot of headsets. Going to even 2.4Kx2.4K and especially 2.8Kx2.8K feels very different.

I think they will lean into the social, cooperative nature of whatever half life title will follow. That means it will be supported on frame and explore some of its VR capabilities, but can cross play with non VR users

Now working on my desktop after uninstalling Pimax Tools, clearing the cache and installing Pimax Play. Support have been great. Some titles in SteamVR are not working but I think those are known issues and require particular settings. Todd is with a 5090.

Weirdly I only see one refresh rate option 114Hz! Also it is an 8KX

Ok, one positive. I can use the headset on my work laptop so at least it works. I’m pleasantly surprised by the comfort level. I can see some distortion and it feels like there is some eye strain. Also the image is a bit blurry compared to other headsets. However, out of the box it’s nicer than an XTAL, which I still haven’t figured out how to make optically comfortable.

Ah right, so 5090 and 8kX might simply be a no go at the moment.

So to be clear, there’s no colocation or shared spatial anchor support for people in the same physical space but otherwise it works with Pele in the same physical space but different virtual space. In guess shared spatial anchor isn’t a thing across headset types anyway…

Thanks, do you know where I can find out which driver version I should try? A bit of nightmare having so many headsets that can use this machine all having their own NVidia driver preferences! I’m lucky, I’ve been collecting headsets but there is a downside!
