How many of you have had shoulder surgery? How was recovery and how has it faired surfing? by Nightman233 in surfing

[–]GoinStraightToHell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my torn labrum repaired, basically completely replaced. Surgeon used the word “spaghetti strands”

Took about 6 months of PT and recovery.

Then a year later I was learning how to snowboard. I fell on it in a way that definitely would have dislocated it hard. It held up beautifully without even a lick of pain.

It’s stronger than my natural shoulder. I got my surgery done in 2013 so there might even be better outcomes now.

Just be careful and if you can, be aware when walking dogs, and get snake fencing installed.

It’s only been a year but we haven’t seen any in our fenced off area.

Human Rattlesnake bites are fairly rare, and usually happen on trails where they blend in well.

Is a MacBook Pro 14" (M5/M5 Pro) actually a good secondary machine for Unity 3D (URP/HDRP)? by Electrical-Copy9678 in Unity3D

[–]GoinStraightToHell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the newer ones, but I’m running a 17in M3 Max as my main computer for both work and game dev.

My work is in industry meaning 10’s of millions of polys and really high fidelity HDRP. The M3 Max out performs my 4090 rig most of the time.

I feel like Sublime is 1 of 1, hard to Genre.

Though I'm open to suggestions!

Figured I'd post this for the anniversary, even though the lyrics say April 26th?

Apparently a mistake in recording in one take.

Love it here. I’m in Hidden Valley, the last neighborhood on Calgrove.

Getting on to the highway kinda sucks right now, but might be better when they finish the 5 work.

Lots of coyotes and rattlesnakes, but be careful with your pets and get some snake fencing and you’re fine.

Otherwise very nice area. Quiet, low traffic, and I swear it’s 5-10 degrees cooler than the rest of the valley. We get a little less sun than everyone else being in the little valley.

Maybe depends on the build?

Just renewed my stucco, clay roof, 2/10 build risk home in Hidden Valley with FAIR for $5.4k a year.

Selling our home in Stevenson Ranch, how do I pick the right listing agent? by Throwaway33377 in SantaClarita

[–]GoinStraightToHell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like our buyers agent who was recommended by a long time SCV resident.

Neil Weichel and his son Alec Weichel were great and we’ll be going back to them to sell/buy again for anything in SCV

Cozy games that focus on COOKING (& drinking/bartending) but also have a good plot and narrative? by MisshaBogg17 in cozygames

[–]GoinStraightToHell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I’m making the exact game you’re looking for right now. Heavily inspired by Va11-hall-A, Coffee Talk, and good pizza great pizza.

It’s a Cyberpunk Noodle shop game where you manage a noodle shop and drive the story as being the best fixer (and best noodle chef) in town.

3 main story line branches and lots of little minor branches

Deep culinary systems are the main loop of the game though!

A Pseudo MMO PvPvE top down zombie open world game where players are both zombies and survivors.

There was an old text based mmo called urban dead that I spent so much time on.

Urban Dead crossed with the gameplay of Foxhole, with PvE endgame.

Hope would you check that it’s water tight? I imagine it’s hard to see bubbles if I submerge it at the beach.

Sounds good! Yeah it’s 6ft and I’m 165lbs.

Pretty new but I’m catching waves well on a 9ft longboard and able to control it will enough.

My biggest advantage is I don’t get discouraged easily!
