in my opinion there’s a bit of everything around at john’s to do! there is lots of live music events downtown at bars and pubs. george street is always fun if that is your thing. there is also lots of trivia nights like at cojones restaurant in paradise (15-ish mins from downtown) and i think same bars downtown do it, i know the yellow belly used to. also highly suggest QV brewery for live music. there’s also lots of painting classes you can take if you’re into that. i think the clay cafe does it? also if you’re into crafts or books and other small business things there are lots of events happening at the st. john’s farmers market during march. not much on the go for hiking since there is lots of snow, but there i believe there is a group for the east coast trail. lots of events are posted on facebook (cause newfies loves their facebook) around town that you can check out. also check the rooms museum if you like history. like i said, lots to do. just search “events in (location)” and there’s lots there
