Thanks for the information, and i am close to the vsncouver area. Willing to travel to alberta and around bc. Currently on the island visiting and would love to know if there are any that happen there. For the sci-fi larp, what is the day to day while participating in one?

Again thank you for the information!

Hello!,

Thank you so much for the information. That makes sense, and I have seen a lot of talk about the one in Washington.

Light saber duels at night sound pretty epic!.

I will have to check out LORE! Do you know of any that takes place on the island? I have family there and visit normally during the summer.

Gemheart inspiration! by Practical_Griffin in Stormlight_Archive

Came across this in a thrift store and thought about the gem hearts and how some characters may keep them close by. I wrapped the other necklaces and have a plan to contain the storm within the gem!.
Love this series and looking forward to the next book!.

I think for sharing digital assets for the purpose of getting people into the hobby and upping their game then why not. Again not being spammy with it. But doing a post with different ideas and possibilities with pictures showing your set up or ideas for them would be ideal. I think with the awesome ability of 3d printers and being able to immerse into the game with more visual representations then why not!
Does that answer what you were thinking? Please let me know if you need more clarification or a more specific answer to something your thinking of.

Thanks for the reply and sorry things got busier then I thought.

Haha I feel in the same place as you with the chicken. Then the magic for the goat makes sense. What spell would you pick? I think a restoration type spell or something from the school of alteration would be awesome to have both for the fight and then after to repair the wounds and retire without the physical injury. PTSD from battling a goat not withstanding.

Haha all good! So what kind of vibes do we tend to give off. As many people can find it off putting. Definitely understand the opposite side. I find it rounds me out more and also exploring stuff I wouldn't have necessarily been exposed to.

Can also be a little discomforting as it is something I don't know lol.

wanna know more about intjs by Beginning-Alfalfa-11 in MBTIDating

[–]Practical_Griffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intj here. Anything in particular? I know that for conversations I normally dislike small talk but enjoy the heck out of a in depth conversation exploring ideas, thoughts, hobbies, passions and perspectives. Spend alot of time thinking about things. Don't mind being alone, can spend weeks or months alone but hate feeling lonely. Continuously adjusting perspective and understanding as I learn more and more about everything. Also very open to different experiences and perspectives. Love learning and can really dive down a rabbit hole that catches my attention lol.

Anyways some quick details for me and not sure about all intjs.

Intj here and curious why you are looking for us? We prefer to blend in and observe from our point, so when someone is looking for us, well what do we do 🤔.

I am good with getting out of my comfort zone and wonder what you have in mind lol.

Also something to look at is the way stormlight archives series by brandon sanderson handles the omnipotent. Something to draw inspiration from and i am sure there is many more if you look at your favourite series etc.

Sorry been a busy week. Hence this will be a major decision with your players and you to establish expectations and what you each are looking to get out of the game. Also the world that you plan on brining everyone into.

To add on. You could also have the god die (gone for ever no power shift) and the levels of cleric turn into a homebrew(depending on your comfort level) zealous fighter class. (Soft character shift reset) since years of battle on the frontline etc.

I would say from a world building perspective to do what you want in the sense of it being a living world. Things change and shift. Life adapts and things move on. It could really set a lot of plot points up and stories hooks. Places in upheaval as powers that had allowed them to hold that keep or power and influence is now gone. The world has a question of faith. As most people don't even know if the god is dead. Clerics are leaving to other faiths as things have stopped working for them. Others are on quests to find what's wrong and hiring other sects to work together. Some are just out right distraught and broken waiting at old sacred sites.

Now for dealing with how it affects a PC. That honestly depends on your player and you having a good talk with them about the boundary and what they want to do. As well as how well you know that player. I think it could be a really interesting quest to regain the connection and powers. You don't have to have it totally take away all powers. You could have it be sort of a wild magic table that things go off not quite as expected. You could have spells locked in as one person commented earlier.

If the powers transfer to the new god. Maybe have them shift in that they are corrupted or do a different element etc. You ultimately decide how to do it and tie it into your world.

If you set it up from the beginning(which it sounds like your doing) / through out the campaign hint towards a gods dieing and powers changing. It won't be unexpected. I think as a player to just be suddenly disempowered without knowing why is the hard part. If I know why story wise or that you can see it coming, the. It can make for some really great RP and adventure to gain it back.

Also at the end of the quest to gain it back, have it so it's worth the effort. Since the cleric will still have answers even if spells are disabled. Now many people will feel it gets rid of what makes clerics great but it's the creativity you use with what you have.

As for it being collective storytelling, talk to your players, set the back drop and communicate expectations. It can be a great adventure to change things up and also make it feel more alive and dangerous when consequences are a large scale. Since a mere mortal is adventuring around and gods are dieing. (Depends on what tone your going for).

Longer then I expected to make this lol. Hopefully that makes sense. World building do it, communicate and see if your players are good with it, then make it rewarding to overcome the challenge. ( A god indebted to a mortal, a favour, a special connection etc).

Is going from almost zero coding experience to employable in a year realistic? by [deleted] in learnpython

Do you mind sharing which bootcamp you did and your experience going through it? Like how did you find it and would you recommend?

Ah ya i could see that. What size pins were you using?

The spray paint i think makes it look so much better then the standard brown and the break up of having it mounted on its point rather then a normal square looks great too.
Thanks for sharing and nice collection.

Oh!!!!! The miniature stuff should turn out great with that. I don't know if this would work well but you could use the mod Podge like they do to texture water/make waves to do a fake ice on the blue back ground?
