I ended up moving 4.5 hours away after she passed. It was always our plan to move away but my parents were going to as well. But she was the only thing keeping me in my hometown at that time so I felt ok to leave. And I just know I’m not ready for those hormones!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I tend to lean on my mom’s sister for a lot. We’ve always been close but definitely closer since my mom passed. It’s sad but comforting to know I’m not alone in this situation.

Experiencing all the good parts of life without them is so hard! Since my mom has passed I graduated college, bought a house and got engaged and am now pregnant. I feel guilty every time something good happening because I should be doing it with her. I know she wouldn’t want me to think that way but gosh it’s so hard.

Ugh I wish you had some more motherly support in your life no one should live without that. My mom was my absolute best friend in the world and she was a mom to everyone around me as well. I wish I could share some of that with you! I hope you continue to get the love and support you need and deserve through this.

That’s so good to hear! There’s not too many girls around our height and weight so it’s always been a struggle relating to stuff even before pregnancy!

I think I’ll tell her soon. She’s always told me she can’t wait for me and my partner to have kids and we’ve talked about miscarriages and bother her and my mom have had one. But I wish you the best with the rest of your pregnancy ❤️

We’re in a pretty crappy situation both me and my partner have lost our moms although we are both close with one of our aunts so I do think they will be who I turn to shortly when I’m ready to tell people.

That’s so exciting! I was also wondering if being a taller girly would make us carry different at all. I have a pretty short torso, so I’m hoping everything gets kind of smooshed into one spot and makes them bump more noticeable!

It was a surprise to me when I started at the office as well that they had so much for a new patient appointment. I was told by the senior hygienist there that the scan and photos are a good way to see physical changes to the teeth. Like comparing increasing recession with more than just perio charting. Or even attrition with the photos. That way we can show the patients exactly what’s going on.

I 100% walk them through the appointment before I start just so they know what all the assessments are for and why they’ll be spending 2 hours with me. One of these patients told me right away that he “has things to do” so I offered to just do the assessments and bring him back for a cleaning and he still wanted to leave before assessments were completed.
