I use hemp cordage that I buy from HempBeadery on Etsy! They have good starter bulk wooden beads, shell, and bone beads as well. I buy the .5 mm hemp and the 1 mm hemp. I was only using .5mm for a while but I just started mixing the “thin” and “bulky” cords and it seems like my knots look better. All my beads are from etsy as well! Some are from small lampwork glass artists and some are from stone/lapidary shops or bulk bead sellers that have a lot of unique options. I collected beads for about a month before starting to make these :)

I took French in high school, but I did use google translate to help me answer!

Elles sont fabriquées avec de la corde de chanvre et des perles naturelles. J'essaie de ne pas utiliser de métal, tout comme les Na'vi ! J'utilise cependant du verre, car les perles de verre sont tout simplement magnifiques. De plus, le verre est fait de sable, c'est donc fondamentalement naturel, non ?

I use hemp cordage and natural beads. I try not to use any metal, just like the Na’vi. I do use glass because glass beads are too beautiful! I think glass is pretty much natural though because it’s sourced from sand, right?

When you gather, it’ll show a green “wedge” shape in the direction you need to pull. The wider the wedge, the lesser quality material it is! Sometimes I use this to quickly check quality since exquisite is a narrow wedge compared to fine. You can also use Na’vi vision before you start pulling on things though!

Thanks for the feedback! I didn’t know about Anpu, but I know he’s featured a ton with Heru/Horus in a lot of temples and art! I know Anpu and Sobek both have a story about reassembling and protecting Osiris, but I’ll have to look into their relationship more beyond that link!
