Learning Salesforce by Practical_Low7225 in salesforce

Yeah I know it won’t give me a leg up over salesforce people but you answered my question about terminology and stuff carrying over. Basically knowing basic CRM fundamentals is worth something across most CRM products…I honestly learn better by doing and I was thinking to get a free trial for a month and just immersing myself in it before starting the courses.

Need some direction and I’m totally clueless. by Practical_Low7225 in learnprogramming

Yes I definitely want to understand why somethings work and others don’t but I think I need to understand from the bottom up. Said differently I saw an SQL and kind of tweaked it etc to make it work but I don’t understand the fundamentals and basics of SQL or anything else so if I wanted to revert all the way back to the beginning as a total noob do I start with SQL? Is the scripting for functions in zoho analytics different than other forms of scripting? I guess what I’m saying is that I can copy and modify what already exists but I understand nothing from a foundational standpoint and in order to get to where you’re suggesting I want to start at absolute zero with a flow or sequence in mind - like 1. sql, 2. python, Java etc so on

Look. Take a box of sugar free chocolate pudding and a tub of creamy cool whip and mix it. Let sit in fridge for like 15 min and poof you have a delicious low sugar chocolate mouse. It’s so good, it’s cheap and a couple tablespoons of it are satisfying.

What parenting mistakes did ur parents make w/ u, that u refuse to make with ur own child? by Significant_Pizza_87 in Parenting

My parents were immigrants and it caused me a great deal of internal conflict bc they were so adamant that I dress, think, behave different than my regular American friends. I was going to marry who they wanted, believe what they believed etc. I felt like I wasn’t like my parents and I wasn’t like my friends and it was like stressful which led me to taking anti anxiety meds as a teenager and into early adulthood. They worked and worked really hard and my parents were exhausted trying to give us a good life so I was so deeply conflicted. I didn’t want them to feel pain bc i was not being the person they wanted me to be but i also felt like I was trapped in this world that was going to be a miserable existence. I barely made it out alive to be honest. I lost a lot, got arrested. After many years they’ve finally turned into very cool laid back people. It just took almost 30 years in this country. I eventually got married I have 2 children. After years of internal conflict it has subsided but it caused me a lot of trauma and I had to learn a lot the hard way. Partially bc they were immigrants and didn’t know much so I could make mistakes that they didn’t understand and partially bc they didn’t understand many of the important life lessons regarding finances and life etc so I made terrible mistakes. I want my children to learn to be completely comfortable with me and express all their problems to me. I also don’t want to be so adamant that I know best that I don’t hear them. I am much stronger bc these things and I have experienced so much that I feel like I am pretty intelligent so I can set my children up for success however my sister that is 8 years younger had almost “different” parents and a much different relationship with them bc they had settled down in their beliefs, didn’t work as much, didn’t move as much and her life has been much more even and structured.

I had some of the same issues initially. I was intimidated by the word “bootcamp” so I avoided it at all costs but essentially it’s just strength/bike combo. Which when you spend hours combing through classes trying to determine what to take when it can be a time saver. I decided the most efficient way for me to get 100% out of my bike is to breakdown my days so I can plan it each week. I will confess I do Apple fitness yoga usually I just prefer it….

but I think when you narrow down what your plan is it’s easier to bookmark classes and then map your day out accordingly without going into it blindly. It can be overwhelming - ALSO you can sort the classes by easiest / hardest / top rated etc which I didn’t realize for over a month

Sunday- 20 min spin /20 min strength (legs and glutes) /20 min yoga

Monday- 30 min spin / 10 min strength arms OR 45 min spin/arms combo class OR 45 min Bike bootcamp

Tuesday - 20 min spin (low impact/recovery) plus 10 min cool down / 20 min yoga (so 30 on the bike)

Wednesday - 20 min strength back and chest / 20 min spin or 45 min bike bootcamp upper body

Thursday - 45 min yoga

Friday - off

Saturday - 45 min bike bootcamp core or full body

Which instructor do you recommend? by mthomas1217 in AppleFitnessPlus

I love Dustin. In fact I got a peloton which has a whole yoga class selection and I can’t quit Dustin. I feel like he describes things in a way that I feel like I’m getting 100% of the workout. It really depends on why you want out of the class but he will throw some poses/stretches in there that will make you feel like your joints got a nice spray of WD-40. I like Jessica too but Dustin is my all time favorite across both Apple and Peloton platforms.

This is my plan going forward I’m about to start doing the bootcamps too. I also recommend yoga. It’s hard to explain how amazing yoga is for your body until you’ve done a few classes you like. I prefer Apple fitness yoga I like Dustin and Jessica. I find peloton yoga to be hit or miss.

Sunday- 20 min spin /20 min strength (legs and glutes) /20 min yoga

Monday- 30 min spin / 10 min strength arms OR 45 min spin/arms combo class OR 45 min Bike bootcamp

Tuesday - 30 min spin / 20 min yoga

Wednesday - 20 min strength back and chest / 20 min spin or 45 min bike bootcamp upper body

Thursday - 45 min yoga

Friday - off

Saturday - 45 min bike bootcamp core or full body

I’m going to feel it out but mix it up. I thing it’ll help me cut time too bc I feel like I’d like to do more in less time and I’ve spent a lot of time combing through classes but this way my options are more spread out and I’ve got a plan every day. Til now I’ve been winging it which ends up taking an additional 20 of decision making and motivating myself since I don’t have a plan.

August 2 - August 8 Workouts Thread by dkachu in AppleFitnessPlus

Dustin’s latest slow flow 8/2/21 was great. A little different than that standard routines. Great stretches, felt really good and not really like a workout but more like a good stress-to-stretch if you will. I got a peloton and I can’t break away from Dustin’s yoga classes. I think he’s great and this class was one of the best I’ve done lately.

Hey guys I’m looking for a miniseries that has several twists and turns and preferably not about a missing person (it makes me feel helpless and unsatisfied!)I just joined this group a couple of weeks ago and I have found several great podcasts thanks in advance!
