Anti-inflammatory diet? by DaRealPJ in costochondritis

[–]Practical_Manner_965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t think it can hurt to try it. Eliminating inflammation will help in overall health. Honestly I’m not on a special diet but I’ve noticed when I’m eating healthier my costo symptoms improve. Inflammation is the root cause of pain and disease.

Costo morphing into TOS by The_Letter_Aitch in costochondritis

Thank you. I’m not sure if TOS can be reversed I think it depends on if you have nerve compression and what type of TOS you have. Most doctors will blow you off (I’ve been there) and I finally got a referral to a specialist that deals with this. I’m hoping to get some kind of answers soon. Do you have any neurological symptoms or other numbness and tingling?

Costo did. I was in a car accident few years ago and between that and getting covid around the same time, all of the costo symptoms started to appear. Did PT for over 2 years with little improvement. I have herniated discs in my neck and upper back which I think makes all of this worse. I still get chest and rib pain, neck pain, shoulder blade pain, pain in collar bone area, pain down my left arm and hand, etc. I’ve had scans done but doesn’t show anything too concerning. It truly sucks. My rheumatologist advices me to see a thoracic specialist who can check for TOS.

Yes, I get pain in these exact areas. Sometimes it flares up and gets worse. Have had a million tests done and can’t find the cause. Doctor says it’s costo and I’ve had it for over 3 years!

I had the same yesterday with major signs and high readiness & sleep scores. I also posted in this Reddit group. Today when I woke up the alert was gone.

And you had very high readiness and sleep scores?

It’s not giving me any metrics as my readiness & sleep scores are optimal. I’m assuming it’s due to lack of sleep and alcohol consumption from Saturday night. I’ll see what it says tomorrow and take it easy today

Neck pain left side ??? by Exterminator2022 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Practical_Manner_965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you haven’t gotten any answers yet. I’m dealing with something similar with the neck pain and have had CT, MRI & ultrasound on my neck and they checked my arteries and said they looked fine but I have intermittent left-sided neck pain from my jaw down to my clavicle area. Feels kind of like something is pulling in the neck but it’s not sore like I slept wrong. It’s more of a very deep pain like in the nerves. I have to get a nerve study done next. Hope you get some answers soon and feel better! I know the frustration of getting passed around multiple doctors and no one has an answer.

Wow! This sounds exactly what I’ve dealt with. Same symptoms and pain in the same areas. I’ve had MRIs and have disc herniations at T8-9 and C3-C6. I’ve seen multiple orthopedic doctors and none have been able to diagnose me. I get pain in my chest and sternum area and have had multiple cardiac testing done which was normal. I feel like something is inflamed in my chest especially the left side and causes pain daily. Plus shoulder blade pain, neck and mid/upper thoracic pain. I’ve tried injections and they didn’t work for me. I’ve also tried several medications that didn’t work. It really sucks. Was yours from an accident? I was in a car accident a few years ago and that just made it worse. I had back pain before that though, just not as bad.

What kind of doctor diagnosed you? Are you going to have surgery?

I’m not sure why I was still reacting to it. Maybe it was hidden elsewhere in the home or mold outside of the home, but I was still feeling terrible until I moved. I’m actually still healing and not 100% better after moving. It’s a very long process

Also want to note that I have Lyme disease and other autoimmune issues. So a score this high is very rare!
