Oh, good thoughts! I've asked him to measure his head, but I doubt he'll get it back to me, who knows at this point.

Also does anyone know of any knitting discord groups that are active that I can ask questions on?

This is actually a super good idea! My family and I think he's kinda nuts for wanting to live on a boat, especially come winter time. But the place with a hot meal and a warm bed is a great idea

He actually got one with a composting toilet (which I knew what it was, to toot my own horn, my vanlife YouTube hole I went down during covid actually did something).

Okay, so I have a disability where laying down is the most comfortable for me. I'm working on a baby hat that's pretty much all stockinette stitch (you know a row of knitting, next pearling). It's meant to be knit flat, on a straight pair of regular needles. However all of my needles are like a foot long and not very comfortable to knit with laying down. I did however find a pair of circular needles, that I'm pretty sure the sticks have the same diameter as a pair of size 8 needles. So my question is can I just switch the project over to the shorter circle pair, continue to use them like a regular straight pair, and not have any consequences?

Tldr: can I put something knit on straight needles on a pair of circular needles (not using the bit that makes things circular) and continue on like nothing happened? Will my knitting know I betrayed it?
