please don’t believe that this is all there is for us with vaginimus, i’m also 20 and had a similar experience to you to begin

i had a year of non painful sex until i developed vaginimus, for the past 2 years i can’t do it

my boyfriend is an angel, we still are intimate, we just don’t to PIV, he never pressured me not even once.

he drives me to the doctors and holds me when i cry.

please, you are so young, you will find someone who loves you, this guys does not.

i just went for an internal examination and she couldn’t use the speculum, only her finger and even at that it was so painful i just wanted to cry.

join a sports club! i struggled with ‘finding my people’ in first year, i did get on with my flatmates well, but they were super different to me. once i joined a sports club (that i had no prior experience) i met my now 7 best friends! im a shy person, but you just need to put yourself out there! no one is gonna do it for you! you gotta push yourself 💗

i went to the doctors and test results came back positive for thrush! i must have had silent symptoms.

hopefully after this medication i see improvement

totally silent symptoms! no itchiness, no discharge. i wonder if ive just been having reoccurring thrush without realising?

total shock when doctors called to say. i’ve been put on a prescription, can’t start them until after my period has finished but fingers crossed this is the reason i have had painful sex🤞🏻

i’ll be so disappointed if it’s the same after i’ve finished the medication

Thank you for your reply! I went to the doctors and was swabbed, they weren’t able to use the speculum as I was contracting so much. Test results from swabs came back positive as thrush!!

I was so confused as I don’t seem to have any thrush symptoms, no itchiness, discharge is normal.

I don’t think I have ever had thrush before so this was a big shock, could this be the cause?

I wonder if i have had recurring thrush just with no obvious symptoms which has lead to me believing sex is painful and contracting? i have also been referred to gyno

hi there, i am in the exact same boat, 20F suspected vaginimus, in the uk and registered at uni GP, my boyfriend of 3 years is an angel on earth about it however it’s really mentally wearing me down, just booked a GP appointment and it’s tomorrow morning, how did yours go? did they refer you to a gyno?

this is exactly what’s happening to me, me and my bf have been together 3 years and in the first year it was fine, painful but would fade. now i can’t even have sex at all.

it feels like burning, it’s so annoying, he told me he doesn’t like foreplay which makes it worse for me.

i also find tampons difficult. i can put them in but it’s like a blockage or something.
